This mod adds, in a Lore-Friendly way, the possibility to live as a vampire in Morrowind without actually becoming one of them. This is achieved through an amulet that - from a role-playing perspective - allows you to "emulate" the symptoms of vampirism while it is equipped. There are three possible amulets to acquire: each one allows you to emulate a type of vampire: Aundae, Berne, and Quarra. The quests of the vampire clans can be completed while using the amulet.

Just as a general recommendation, it's advisable to wear the amulet when you're doing vampire-related missions and have to reach an important point of the quest. For example, if a vampire tells you to talk to an NPC, even if that NPC isn't a vampire, wear the amulet when you talk to them. It doesn't matter if you take it off before or after; it's just necessary at some points to be a vampire for the missions to update.

Beyond Role-Playing, this is accomplished through a script that applies the vampire condition to the player while wearing an amulet of this kind and, when removed, reverts the PC to their normal form. Doing so will not count as being cured of vampirism but as if you had never been a vampire. Since vampirism only affects quests and other matters insofar as NPCs refuse to talk to the player, this mod should not break any quests or conflict with any factions in the game, no matter how many times the player becomes a vampire and reverts from it. However, of course, while the player is wearing the amulet, it is advisable not to engage in conversation with NPCs who are not vampires to avoid being attacked

This mod has been created with the intention of being as unintrusive as possible, so other mods that affect vampirism should be fully compatible. It also does not affect the possibility of becoming a vampire naturally and the natural process of curing vampirism.

To obtain the amulets, you need to speak with the Telvanni wizard Baladas Demnevanni, in his tower of Arvs-Drelen, in Gnisis. A new topic, "What is this Place?", has been added, leading to a conversation from which you can obtain the amulets. It requires a soul gem filled with the soul of a Golden Saint and 50,000 gold. It also drains most of the attributes and deals around 500 damage to the player each time it is used.

You probably want to wear an amulet with a constant effect of restoring Strength. Otherwise, you may find yourself lying on the ground and unable to move when the amulet consumes your attributes. Attribute drain only occurs when putting it on, and they can be regenerated in the usual ways: potions, spells, etc.

The transformation process takes around 20 seconds. This delay is intentional, simply to add a dramatic effect to the matter.

IMPORTANT: EVEN IF IT'S OBVIOUS, DO NOT TRANSFORM WITH THE AMULET IN A VAMPIRE LAIR OR NEAR A REAL VAMPIRE. THEY WILL REALIZE YOU ARE A TRAITOR.

I sincerely believe that the way to play this mod is with the original version, as it makes it quite challenging to become a vampire through this means. It's not unreasonable, from a lore-friendly perspective, to consider that a Telvanni could emulate the symptoms of vampirism so convincingly that even vampires themselves are unable to distinguish a fake vampire from a real one. But I understand that the process for this must be expensive, dangerous, and complicated. Otherwise, anyone could pass as a vampire in Vvardenfell.

If you find any bugs, please let me know so I can fix them.

Enjoy the mod :)
