This is really good! Fits the creepy environment of Vvardenfell way more than the original soundtrack. I'm working on a soundtrack myself for the game, hoping this will inspire me a bit
you do know you don't need to replace tracks to add music right? other than the title theme, death theme, and level themes everything works properly without having to replace the old music.
no you dont have to delete all the original tracks but i made my tracks for particular style of playthrough, if you want your character to be a sinister "bad guy" type of character then this would be there perfect soundtrack. These tracks would go really nice with the 6th house mod where you join dagoth ur instead of being the neravarine
it's certainly a new and interesting sound, i'll give it that! All of the tracks have a similar flavor that makes me think, "What if PilotRedSun composed the soundtrack for a Morrowind PSOne dungeon crawler?" if you've ever seen the artist on the Morrowind subreddit who's been making 2D sprite characters of Vardenfell's creatures, i think both of these projects would fit well together. it'd be interesting to hear some more covers of Morrowind's official soundtrack in this new flavor, or at least a few less-spooky tracks that would fit better with exploration and meandering around town. Something more peaceful and less...foreboding and unsettling. Something with a similar late 90s midi sample aesthetic.
Unfortunately none of these tracks fit with my current (admittedly massive) music collection for my game. i can see why you suggest replacing files. They clash with my current tracklist so i won't be using them, but i'd still be interested in hearing updates if more peaceful tracks or covers are added!
I'd suggest using Muse 2 which is a morrowind music mod which lets you customize the placement of the tracks so for example you can play those particularly dark and foreboding tracks in say daedric ruins or sixth house bases
i use MUSE. i think i've spent more time customizing my music playlists than my overall mods' load order. A few of the most popular MUSE soundtrack collections include similar droning tracks for daedric ruins, dungeons, 6th House hidey holes and burial sites. Most of which i've already removed from my personal playlists. i have nothing against that kind of music, not at all, but it's not the kind of thing i want to listen to while playing my favorite chill roleplaying game. That's not to say i don't enjoy that type of soundscape at all, oh no no no no. Like i said, it sounds okay to me. My personal playlists of music outside of Morrow include everything from 'LustMord' to oldschool JRPG soundtracks from the 90s. -which your music reminds me of both.
it's a cool sound! i just don't want in my Morrowind. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Thanks for the recommendation though!
The description makes this sound like some Dagothwave meme s#*!, but it's actually unironically pretty good. Fits the atmosphere much better - regardless of whether you're in a city or dungeon or ash-storm - than most of the Music Overdose, let alone all of the Skyrim soundtracks or Daggerfall jingles people like to offer. Still too few of them to delete the rest of the music, though.

I'd also like to recommend Spice Opera.
