LOADING THIS CELL WILL CAUSE YOUR GAME TO HANG. OpenMW will load it after several minutes or more, during which it will appear to be crashing. I have not tested this on the vanilla engine. File has been cleaned with Enchanted Editor; TESAME will not load it due to the number of references in the cell.
To use this file, simple drop it into your Data Files folder, enable it, and type
coc "Kelp Test"
in the console once in game.Why does this plugin exist? Prior to an ongoing (as of August 2023) campaign of decluttering, the floor of the Abecean Sea in released and in-development areas of Province Cyrodiil included a staggering number of references, occasionally exceeding 2000 per cell, and notably including over 301000 kelp statics. While the result was undeniably beautiful, it clashed with the reality of needing to release a playable mod. This plugin exists as an attempt to visualize the sheer scale of work that went in to the old seabeds, before they were nuked to a more reasonable level of detail, and as the result of a very silly afternoon trying to coax the CS into handling the file at all.
