In case you don't know, the mesh has an incorrect texture setup. "c:\games\morrowind..." is not a typical installation and "...meshes\jsmk\coal\coal.dds" is incorrect pathing, since the Meshes folder does not have any Textures. You'll get errors every time the game loads an area that has coal piles. I can fix it for myself, however, you may want to update the .nif to use "textures\jsmk\coal\coal.dds" in the NiSourceTexture block instead. This will fix issues with the model not being able to find the texture and any problems users may encounter with differing installs.
Aside from that, the new texture looks much better than vanilla. I will be endorsing this once it gets a fix so others can appreciate it as well.
Oh ok, I always thought that issue was caused by my install ^^ Yes I can confirm that I was textureless at first, and went for the nif to glue it back on.
Damn, well then the default texture is definitely not convincing, indeed, because I never noticed ! ^^ I tested a normal map of the texture for OpenMW ; doesn’t feel like it makes much of a difference here really, lol But since I made it already, maybe I could share. Anyway, nice, thanks !

Or does it originally look so much not like coal that I never even noticed that it’s something that exists in Vvardenfell ? lol
