Is there a way you would ever make a version of the vanilla/TR rebuilt water that upscales it?

Thank you for this. I run a highly modded setup & this helps me quite a bit. Not to mention it looks good. Anyway of making this work for TR & OAAB? I'd love to have water consistency all down the board.

I'm glad you liked it, i didn't had time to check your messages since i'm not as active as i used to be here, thanks for going a step ahead and making the addon, i'm pretty sure that it will be very useful to many people who came across this mod and have lag issues, including myself.

Hello, do you have a tutorial on how we can do this to other textures too perhaps? For example, I wanna downscale Morrowind effects/particles when spellcasting, etc as I found it to be one of the culprits that lags my low end laptop lmao

Or can you make a mod about that too?

For textures edits is use a pretty famous app called GIMP it's basically a free software program aimed at creating and editing bitmap images, it's the best free alternative for photoshop, maybe in the future i'll downscale the effects/particles since they lags sometimes my pc as well XD, but right now i'm working on another project, so maybe i'll do it only after a few months.

Yes please!!! It will be a while til I get a decent laptop to play it lmaoo
  5. Honestly I just kept my regular OpenMW water shader but turned off refraction and reflection shader detail and that alone got me from 60 to 120 fps outside.

It's odd that the vanilla textures don't have any kind of optimization since we have water everywhere, including other mods. It's always good to save some fps!

Thank you for your mod, it's helping the FPS on my Samsung S23 Ultra with my 300+ mods. Here's a pic of how it looks, surprisingly with only a 5 frame drop with the graphics turned up high.

The vanilla water can be quite heavy on android since the files weight 1,5 mb, my mod weights less than a half of this (400 kb) wich definitely improves the fps, the compression is unnoticeable and has mipmaps wich not only makes it looks better, but also lower the resolution in a distance, and even on my PC i've noticed a fps gain. Your screenshot looks great by the way, Have some fun!

Wow! looks even better than my screenshots, in potatoes we need to treat FPS as Pokémons, Gotta Catch ’Em All!  i'm happy that everything worked fine for you, have fun!

    Thanks for your mod.
How to edit your mod to have less transparency?

I believe that any image editor can edit that, i'm going to add a new file without the edit on transparency, so you can edit this one instead, or use it if you like, it follows the vanilla, so if it still have some transparency it's probably because MGE XE adds it.

Finally i found what i looked for: it's the [Water] World Alpha setting (with OpenMW it's in openmw.cfg). It's 0.75 by default. I put it to 0.975.

I didn't know OpenMW changes the alpha too, i'm glad you found what you want and posted here, maybe other people may get the same problem!

Thank you! OpenMW water shader kills my FPS when I enter some of Tamriel Rebuild areas
