About this mod

This mod finally replaces the ugly nedic propaganda about the constellation to their truly meanings in the land of Morrowind. It changes the appearance of the in-game constellation textures to the new ones, based on the artwork of Michael Kirkbride and Andrew Rai - the frescoes of Tribunal Gods and Saints.

Immerse yourself in the spiritual essence of Dunmer culture with the Dunmer Saints Constellations mod for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. This mod breathes new life into the constellation selection menu of the game by replacing the vanilla constellation textures with beautifully crafted images of revered Dunmer saints, based on the artworks of Michael Kirkbride and Andrew Rai.

Detailed description: In the realm of the celestial bodies, the saints of the Dunmer serve as the guiding lights for their people, reflecting the virtues and abilities attributed to the constellations of Tamriel. These connections between saints and constellations offer a deeper understanding of the spiritual and cultural significance of the stars in the lives of the Dunmer people. The saints provide guidance and inspiration, helping their people navigate through both darkness and light, as the constellations watch over the world of Tamriel.

The list of the constellations and the relevant Dunmer Gods and Saints:
In the ancient and mystical land of Tamriel, where constellations guide the destinies of mortals, the lives of the Dunmer saints provide the people with inspiration and wisdom.
The Guardians, the Warrior, the Mage, and the Thief, are embodied by Almalexia, Sotha Sil, and Vivec, respectively, who exemplify the virtues of their celestial counterparts.

  • Almalexia, the compassionate and fierce protector of her people, embodies the strength and might of the Warrior constellation. As one of the three Tribunes, she reflects the Warrior's guardian role, providing guidance and support to her followers. Just as those born under the Warrior sign are skilled with weapons and possess short tempers, Almalexia displays both the nurturing and wrathful aspects of her divine nature.
  • Sotha Sil, the enigmatic and brilliant sorcerer, represents the Mage constellation's affinity for magicka and spellcasting. As a Tribune, he embodies the Mage's role as a celestial guardian, overseeing his followers in the lands of Morrowind. Those born under the Mage sign, like Sotha Sil, are blessed with greater magicka and talent for spellcasting.
  • Vivec, the poet and warrior, mirrors the duality and cunning associated with the Thief constellation. As a Tribune who straddles the line between the divine and the mortal, he exemplifies the Thief's role as a protector of the Dunmers. Though not all born under the Thief sign are shrewd, they share Vivec's propensity for taking risks and pushing boundaries.

  • Saint Delyn the Wise, representing the Apprentice, is renowned for his wisdom, reflecting the affinity for magick of those born under this sign.
  • Saint Seryn the Merciful, akin to the Atronach, takes upon herself the diseases of others, much like the sign's absorption of magicka.
  • Saint Meris the Peacemaker, who healed soldiers regardless their factions, mirrors the features of the Lady, known for kindness and tolerance.
  • Saint Nerevar the Captain, who united the barbarian Dunmer tribes, personifies the Lord, characterized by strength and health, like united Resdayn.
  • Saint Rilms the Barefooted, compassionate and devoted to the poor, parallels the Lover's grace and passion.
  • Saint Llothis the Pious, formulator of the central rituals of the New Temple Faith, embodies the divine connection represented by the Ritual sign.
  • Saint Aralor the Penitent, a repentant criminal, symbolizes the Shadow's ability to conceal one's past.
  • Saint Felms the Bold, a brave warlord who fought Nord invaders, is akin to the Steed's swiftness in battle.
  • Saint Olms the Just, who conceived the fundamental principles of justice, exemplifies the Tower's mastery over locks and secrets.

Saint Veloth the Pilgrim, the great prophet who led the Chimer out of the Summerset Isles, mirrors the Serpent constellation's unpredictable movements across the sky. As the Serpent wanders about, so did the prophet Veloth to forge a new path for his people, guiding them to the promised land of Morrowind.
