Nice idea! Very useful if you don't mind the minor lore break. However in lore, black gems actually are synthetic, created by Molag Bal, instead of found in the earth, so it's not even terribly far from lore. Love it!
Mannimarco also found a way to create them post Revenant ascension and I believe the Ideal Masters can make them in the Soul Cairn also, so there's a few ways in the lore and I was aiming for something similar. In my head it's almost like bleeding a khyber crystal in Star Wars, just with Daedra blood lol. Thank you for the kind words!
