Nothing wrong with me, something's gotta drop. Let the bodies items hit the flooooooooor!
Great QOL mod for mentally unhinged kleptomaniacs. All the nay-sayers should remember that this functionality is part of vanilla oblivion and skyrim but for some reason not morrowind. Synergizes well with Just Drop It so you can drop it extra hard.
Are you really dropping things so often you needed an easier way to do it? Blows my mind! I drop an item only to display it on a shelf or put it into a container because I'm afraid placing items just anywhere like a brazen fool will completely bork my game.
So what are you doing? Just walking around Balmora dropping clutter like a pyscopath? The gall.
Playing a low strength character and I have been dropping my items into a pile so I can deal with them later. I finally decided it was time to deal with my pile and I realized it was over 2000lbs of stuff and I was dreading moving it in and out of my inventory repeatedly while moving it to a merchant/home.
Would it be possible to add right-clicking as an option to drop items? Right-clicking is how you drop items in future Bethesda games and Fallout New Vegas, so it would be nice for muscle memory for those of us who use a different key to open the menu.
What's with these political pictures on mods all of a sudden? IDAGF about your political outlook or whatever you're protesting, I come here for mods for a video game, just like most people browsing.
If you come here for mods for Morrowind and you’re using MGE XE, you’re looking at the right place! This is a quality of life mod. If you want to drop a ton of items from your inventory real fast, just hold the Caps button, then click-a-way.
What do you mean "all of a sudden"? The "Flowers for Ukraine" mod was a year ago. The "CCCP Character Progress" mod is from 2020, and the "Libertarian Magic" mod was from 2019. There have been "gender-neutral" mods since 2015.
I assume a lot of mods on Nexus are trans, and they decide what's being promoted on the front page - sure doesn't have to be game related. Remember that Spider-Man flag mod debacle? Gotta be careful what you post these days, mods and community are very trigger happy.
lol i answered your question, but it got removed by some mod, as well as the comment from the guy (Dimmu) you asked your question to in the first place.
To give a genuine review of the actual contents of this mod, Caps Click to Drop, as the mod description implies, adds a new gameplay feature that allows you to quickly and easily drop items from your inventory by holding down the 'Caps Lock' key and clicking on them.
What that description fails to convey, however, is just how massive a quality of life improvement this is, and just how much time it'll end up saving you in the long run. You really don't realize how much time you've spent dragging and dropping items out of your inventory screen until you no longer have to do it.
Sure, it may seem like a trivial amount of time if you're just dragging and dropping a few objects, but if you've ever tried to drop a few dozen objects at your character's feet, you know just how tedious and time-consuming that process can be.
But with Caps Click to Drop, that's a thing of the past! You can quickly and easily drop dozens or hundreds of objects from your inventory in just a fraction of the time it took you before. In all honesty, if you're not using this mod, you're just robbing yourself of a major convenience and quality-of-life feature.
And I'll hasten to add that this goes particularly well when paired with a number of other convenience mods, like Merlord's Quick Equip (hold down left-shift to instantly equip an item in the inventory, which also eliminates tedious dragging and dropping), Merlord's Just Drop It (items automatically re-align and position themselves correctly on surfaces when dropped), and Hrnchamd's Perfect Placement (after you drop your items, you can use the 'G' key to grab them and move them about the world space in real-time, great for decorating). Combined, these four mods make inventory management and interacting with objects an absolute breeze, and if you're already using a MGE XE + MWSE install, there's really no reason to ever play without them.
That's my quick review here, but I'll add just one last bit. I've already said it before on here, but sadly that comment chain got removed, so I'll say it again:
Trans rights are human rights!
And as someone of some small influence in this community, know that I mean that statement with utter and complete conviction. Transgender people are human beings, they deserve respect, empathy, compassion and basic human dignity. If that's something you have a problem with, I would strongly recommend you reevaluate your priorities in life.
Tl;dr: Fantastic mod, major time saver and quality of life improvement, and of course, trans rights are human rights!
You begin the review implying you're actually going to talk about the mod, then go on to virtue signal anyway. No one cares about your trans politics so keep them to yourself.
I never would’ve thought there would be this many modders holding this attitude towards trans people in the Morrowind modding community. Seeing names that I recognize saying things like this makes me kinda sad.
I included that line because there have been numerous transphobic attacks in these comment sections. The moderators have deleted most of them, but there has clearly been targeted harassment, numerous transphobic slurs, even implications of violence between this and the Dunmer Say Trans Rights modpage.
And as a semi-influential member of the Morrowind Modding Community, I have a duty and a responsibility to speak out against that kind of bigotry in our community.
As I said in my original post, if you have a problem with that, I would highly suggest you reevaluate your priorities. Why are you so easily offended by the simple affirmation of someone else's human rights? Why even make that comment if "no one cares"?
doesn't really work when the site owners take a specific stance and the community's more active members all align idealogically. nice version of the "make your own platform argument" which is funny cuz im sure your definitely not one of the people who complained when elon bought twitter lol
How does endorsing other mods not work when the site owners and users take a "specific stance"? Are you suggesting they are secretly pushing this mod to Hot files?

Would it be possible to expand that function to containers?
Mainly to store to and take from containers by holding down a key + left click without grab-shifting them.

dont bs with people about hostility, bro. Nothing wrong with telling a group who hate you to f*#@ off.

Fallacy and a "whaddaboutism."
