I have a strange bug where my hunger never goes down. I can eat all the food I want but nothing changes, and my character won't eat automatically either. Do you know what might be causing this bug?
I don't use automatic eating but for usual eating maybe you forgot to use the special satchel ? Red thing, you put it down somewhere and activate it to eat, then you need to put inside what you want to eat. Hey scripts were very primitive, but you had no other choice at this time!
@HarriotLovesYou Are you sure you have "Eat manual and automatic" option selected? Verify. (in the console: StartScript NOM_config ) Then let the food and drinks in your inventory; the character must eat by himself.
The surprise is this mod doesn't get updated at least for openmw for now (with classic morrowind, they get ashfall... !). Anyway in this playthrough I used it, the satchel is a little annoying but you get used to it. Something more inconvenient is that you keep on finding food that is not recognized by the mod, so I started adding new food to the mod when it was getting too annoying. I didn't make a list of what I added, the 2 last things added were scuttle pie and scrib pie. I could put a link here if someone is interested, I thought that somebody more motivated than me would make a big update with this mod, but since it doesn't happen...
For those who want to do that themselves, it's not too hard to do with openmw, just a little time consuming. All is done by scripts, so you just edit the ones you want by copying a kind of food which looks like the one you want to add. I could make something more detailed but it's easy to figure out. Just be careful there are some scripts warning for 2 lines with Activate, player where it says ", player" is extra argument and is ignored. Just remove that part, keep only activate, and warning gone.
I tried it with OpenMW Total Overhaul. I think I won’t keep it. It is a fantastic mod, but Total Overhaul adds too much things everywhere and eats most of new level design elements.
I'd almost given up seeing any food/water needs mod for Open Morrowind until this. But I noticed there might be problems with compatibility with TR... is it a real problem?
As far as I'm aware, the only problem this has with TR is the fact that the food added by Tamriel Rebuilt will not count as actual food to NOM, but vanilla food that spawns in TR, like bread, will just as normal. As I stated in a previous response, I don't think this is a big deal, since all you really need to do is stock up in Vvardenfell before venturing to the mainland (that's what I do). So, to make it short, NOM does not conflict with TR, on the other hand, it will not recognize food (or beverages) added by TR.
I love how f*#@ing this mod is required for Rise of the house telvanni that requires this mods master file but neither of these two mark it as one. f*#@ing ridiculous!
Does this include a feature where certain foods like bread can be consumed multiple times? There's a mod that does just that which i'm trying to track down, so I'm wondering if it's this mod or some other one.
No, in NOM, if you have a food, you eat it fully or not. Except for water containers (like bottle) who can contain 1, 2, or more "quantities" of water.
I'm wondering if I had an older and outdated version of this mod, but I was never able to get raw food to drop from animals, specifically the raw food added by this mod.
I'm not sure that's even a feature. I think you just buy it from the merchants... But maybe I'm wrong. Would be awesome and I was going to look into how to do that myself.
Have you installed all the files in the stated order? If the answer is yes, than you are using the latest build. You also have to merge the levelled lists, otherwise, itens like raw food and fruits won't spawn nor will be droped by wildlife.
I don't think the the way the mod is packaged is compatible with vortex. There's a very specific order in which the files must be install, so my advice is: delete everything and reinstall manually following the instructions.
My second advice is: do not use vortex for OpenMW, instead, use the built in mod organizing features (in the tab "Data Directories"), you'll have much less trouble.

Was there something I was missing?
