I swear I've scoured every inch of the manor and cannot find the new key lol

It's on the second floor, and you may have to look upwards to find it. It's "hidden" but not hidden-hidden.

I accidently killed Onres Nerano because I was too low level and couldn't figure out any other way. Sugar lips wasn't pleased. Later, another Balmora noble, Hlaalo is murdered and its a Hlaalu quest where the Camonna Tong tries to frame Nine Toes of the Blades.
Unfortunately, the real murderers description was exactly my description, a red haired Dunmer guy and I did kill his neighbor which gave me a bit of a chuckle.

Ondres Nerano seems like genuinely a good person, so far as Hlaalu go. There's a Redoran quest for him that involves a duel, but given how he honors his end, I get the feeling he's just a genuinely good person overall. I really hope you can find a way to let him live, from now on!

    I always used this mod:
    Sleep with the Fishes
    https://mw.modhistory.com/download-90-6326
    How do they interact?

Damn. It seems like Sleep With the Fishes is the superior mod here, and I didn't know it existed. I'm going to have to assume they conflict, and recommend you use it over mine unless you want to kill Sovor personally.

:edit: I've also updated the mod to set ownership of the key, and Sovor Trandel might want to thump your skull now.

Ok, thanks for the sincerity. But I think that you can make a better mod here. Sleep with the fishes is very old, you can make the defenitive Sovor Mod. Dont surrender!

I shan't! Sleep with the Fishes is pretty neat. I cracked it open and it's actually terribly simple; it uses a script called MoveSovor to do what it says on the tin, just moves him out to a spot on the Odai and kill him. It's definitely incompatible with mine, since it edits the same dialogue of Ondres Nerano to do it, though.

It wouldn't be too hard to adapt it into mine, or tweak the basic premise. The script is simple enough. I don't think I'd have Ondres have him killed, though. It seems slightly out of character to me.

Besides, mine offers a *slight* incentive in that it is slightly more lucrative to screw Sovor over without killing him directly, and it might be noted that screwing Sovor over in this manner makes completing Larrius Varo's quest a little easier since you don't have to instigate the fight yourself and get a bounty.

Might just chalk this one up to different approaches.

Great mod! I wanted to create the same thing myself, but you turned out to be faster than me. I liked that you put another key in the manor, it's useful since pickpocket mechanic is broken in vanilla.
I think it might be better if Sovor Trandel attacks you after you turn him in. It would make sense because he knows that you are responsible for that, and because he's Camonna Tong after all. But do as you like, what you made there is good as well.

It'd be easy enough to replace the disposition decrease with a StartCombat command, but given that the whole place turns into a brawl, I figured it might be better to let the Player decide when to instigate the fight, assuming Larrius Varo's quest is done afterwards. I really should go back and set the key to owned as well, now that I think about it, as I don't think I did.

Perhaps I could remember/find the command to adjust his Fight value to 70, leaving it up to the Player's speechcraft whether he attacks on sight.

Yes, I've just uploaded the changes. Sovor should attack most players, but as I did this by using "SetFight 75" there remains the possibility characters with a high personality might not provoke his wrath. He still won't be happy about it, though.
