I am using Morrowind Rebirth and I think that is causing a clipping issue with a tradehouse placed in the same location as the manor (although I am using version 5.2 of MR so that it can work with a grass mod so it may be that a newer version could work with it). It does look very nice in the pictures, though! :)

Do we have to do anything to get ownership of the house or is that not an issue?
Just downloaded it now and I will give it a try later today after work.

You did something no one else has bothered to do and that is your pictures show the exact location of the house...

So many people upload houses here with absolutely zero information about where in the hell the actual house is!
Every one I have downloaded so far have no picture of the exact location!
I guess we are supposed to waste our time looking in vain for our house!

Thanks again for your hard work and I will let you know if everything goes okay.
    Thanks again

    Edit:
    Very nice!!

Can you add some lighting it is very dark in the house
Can you add a bed to rest on I couldn't find it

Thank you so much for the kind words and happy holidays!

Regarding a few points you mentioned:

      • Ownership - You don't need a key or lockpick. Just enter the house and it's yours now :)
      • Lighting - I am running a modded version of Morrowind so I don't have this issue. However, if you tell me where you would like to have more light, I can upload another version of the mod with more paper lamps/candles (for extra coziness)
      • Bed - you can find one upstairs in the bedroom (you can see the double bed in one of the attached screenshots)

Hi guys, not sure if im just being stupid (quite possible) but can you add this to an existing save? i''ve added it a few times and it doesnt show up when i visit balmora, is there a way to "refresh" the world to make it check for the house or is there something else i could be doing wrong?

Hey there! Thanks for trying out the mod! Let's try to make it work as well :)
It should work right away with an existing save if it is installed properly.

What do you mean by adding it a few times and not showing up? Can you provide a few details - e.g. are you using Nexus Mod Manager or simply trying to copy-paste the .esp file directly into your Data Files folder?

Method 1 - If you are installing the mod manually - make sure you unpack the .7z file first - and then copy-paste Balmora Syndrayn Manor.ESP into the game directory -> Morrowind/Data Files. Then, when opening the game launcher, before choosing 'Play', first select Data Files and tick the checkmark corresponding to this mod.
Method 2 - If it's by Nexus mod manager - you have to tick the '+' option to add the mod.

Quite tidily made. I like the spot and gave it a poke-through. If you're looking for criticism, I'd offer this:

The interior is quite spacious, but it's glaringly out of proportion with the exterior. It's pretty normal in Morrowind for that to be the case, though, and I could see this being a purposeful choice. There are Hlaalu-style windows on the inside that have no corresponding outside window, but again, vanilla's pretty bad about that too. The "Desk" with the writing supplies on it is cute, but given that the hatch opens, it can leave the stuff floating in the air. Nothing worth changing necessarily, as it's easily remedied by moving stuff in-game. The books you chose, Palla I and II, as well as Feyfolken, those are pretty rare books to have laying around, and if they're just for aesthetics you could always swap them with something cheaper like Lives of the Saints or The Real Barenziah or something.

For anyone who uses BCOM, there is a bit of clipping with the tree and well in that corner of town, but it's actually not egregious and could be overlooked. To see the tree clipping you have to get right up on it, or look down from the ridge. The well is a bit more obvious, but the offending awning could be disabled in-game to keep it from clipping with the window.

Overall it's quite tidy and I could see this as a great crashpad!

Thanks a lot for taking the time to try my mod and write a thorough review! It means so much :)

I agree that the interior is indeed out of proportion (reminds me of the "It's bigger on the inside" - Doctor Who quote :D ). From this perspective, using two inner sections instead of three would match the outside better. However, I felt it matched places like Tyravel Manor for example.

The desk thing is indeed a nice catch. I found it during testing and was bothered by it a bit as well, but now I think I know how to fix it in the next version.

I'm happy you mentioned the books. The choice was done on purpose, not because of the value or rarity but because of how well the stories are written. I am a huge lore fan and I was kind of hoping this detail would catch an eye :D I would have gone with a skill-less version of the books but I did not know how to mod that.

You make a fair point with the BCOM version as well. I will release a tree-less version for that mod today. I'm not entirely sure what you mean about the well as this mod only adds 3 trees and the house itself. Are you sure it comes from this mod? If you can upload a picture I can take a look at it.

I hope you can make good use of this house and again, thank you so much for your valuable feedback!

Regarding the well and trees: It's not from your mod, it's that your mod butts up against the same place as the well and trees from Beautiful Cities of Morrowind. There's nothing really to be done from your end unless you decided to move the house itself, which I do not necessarily recommend. That comment was mostly to tell other people who use BCOM like I do about it, and honestly, it doesn't actually affect gameplay that much.

For pictures, I've uploading two images to Imgur: https://imgur.com/a/BcLP5UY

A user can "patch" in-game just by disabling the guarhide awning and offending trees using the console.

Love the mod and your design choices, my only complaint was the lighting. I might have to mess with my ambient lighting and see if I can find a good balance for this mods interior and the exterior and other interior cells. Other than that mild complaint and I guess the floating items on the desk from the popup lid, I would give this player house a 9/10.

Thank you so much for trying it out!

I updated a new version that fixes the floating items you mentioned :)

In regards to lighting, most likely, due to my older MGE XE version, the setting might be off (mine is pretty dark but I tend to like it like that). Is the mod in your case too bright or too dark? I would like to help with the ambient lighting settings if you let me know.
