1. DESCRIPTION
--------------------------

So you have a TON of music in your MUSE music folders... but all that goes out the window as soon as you travel to somewhere else in Tamriel. MUSE falls back to your default /explore/ folder in that case. Well, no more! I have combed across Mainland Morrowind, Skyrim, and Cyrodiil to find the delicious "region" data that MUSE desires. With this knowledge, I have created new MUSE config files that will ensure that you will hear your custom MUSE playlists, even on the mainland.

In addition to that, I have provided some options for customizing your MUSE playlist further, including options for things that don't even exist yet...

00 CORE Features
This is the meat of the mod and it mostly effects Tamriel Rebuilt. You will have music from your base region folders play in TR. The music that plays will be based on the region of TR you are in. To accomplish this, I traveled to every region in TR and sorted it based on how similar it was to a region of Vvardenfell. So, for example, the Dehsaan Plains of TR are most similar to the Grazelands on Vvardenfell, so music from your Grazelands MUSE music folder will play there.

In addition to this, I have expanded MUSE' files to account for the various faction cities in TR. Your Imperial folder music will play in Firewatch and Old Ebonheart, for example. Your Vivec music will play in Almass Thirr. Your Mournhold music will play in Roa Dyr... etc etc. This encompasses TR Preview lands as well, so your Redoran music will play in Baan Malur, for example, even though it's empty and has no interiors as of this release.

Finally, to round off the TR features, I also added some future-proof support. Dres cities have been assigned their own /Dres/ folder, and regions that don't even exist yet have been guessed at based on TR concept art. Assuming the naming does not change a whole lot (and it probably will) this pack should work with TR even as more things get released. I even set up the hypothetical "Strangled Fen" region, should Gray Meadows ever get renamed to that.

01 Necrom Is Unique
In CORE, Necrom is set to play the music from your /Vivec/ folder. That's because it's a Dunmer Temple controlled city. If you don't like that and would prefer to use your own music for Necrom, selecting this BAIN option will set up a /Necrom/ folder for you, complete with configs to support that.

02a Solstheim folder plays in Skyrim
If you're happy to just have your Solstheim music play in Skyrim: Home of the Nords, this option is for you. No fuss.

02b Separate Skyrim Region Folder
This sets up a "Skyrim" region music folder for you instead. You want this one if you have music you specifically use for Skyrim only that you don't want to hear in Solstheim or vice-versa.

03 Cyrodiil Region Folder
Province: Cyrodiil is not covered by any other part of this mod, so I thought I'd throw in a /Cyordiil/ folder here. Just put any tracks you want to hear on Stirk or, the Gold Coast (when it is released) into that folder.

...and that's it! Please note that out of the box, these configs are NOT really compatible with the official Tamriel Rebuilt soundtrack. You can take the mp3s from that and put them to work here, of course. The whole reason I created these configs is that I was not happy with the same few tracks playing over and over in the expansiveness of TR, especially when my Vvardenfell region files have long playlists that I hardly ever notice repeating. This, I think, is a pretty good solution for that.

2. Installation
--------------------------

RECOMMENDED: This mod is packaged as a BAIN archive. Use a mod manager such as Wrye Mash or Mod Organizer 2 and select the options you want to use based on the description above. Make sure to at the very least enable "00 CORE" for the bulk of what this mod has to offer.

EXPERT: For the more stubborn among you that refuse to get with the times, simply dragging and dropping the contents of each BAIN option into your /Morrowind/Data Files/ directory should take care of it.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are updating from a previous version (version 1.0), please uninstall your previous version completely before installing this new version (version 1.1)!

----

--------------------------
3. Uninstallation
--------------------------

RECOMMENDED: Simply "uncheck" or "uninstall" with your favorite mod manager, like Wrye Mash or Mod Organizer 2.

EXPERT: Consult this archive to see which files are added by this mod. You are gonna need to restore backups of your MUSE configs since this replaces those.

4. Changelog
--------------------------

08/25/22 - v1.1 - Squashed a bug that would cause region music to override cell music. This came down to improperly formatted config files.

GreenPactEthos helped with some of the tedious work of this mod by doing research about TR cities for me and coming back with a list I used for the cell configs.

Rytelier for MUSE 2 which has revolutionized music for TES3

Everyone who has previously or who is still working on Tamriel Rebuilt and the various Project Tamriel mods.

NullCascade, C3pa, Greatness7, and the rest of the Morrowind Script Extender team. Long live Morrowind.exe!

Everyone from the late, great Bethsoft Forums, the Morrowind Modding Community Discord, /v/, /tesg/, /tg/, Reddit, & Something Awful who have always had encouraging words to share about the work I have done on TES games.

Lastly, thanks to Earth_Wyrm, who's README format I jack every single time I need to do one of these. :P
