Goodness gracious, this music is great! I'm quite picky on what is and isn't Vanilla friendly, and I may end up saving this for SHOTN and/or PC. The battle music is maybe best for mini-boss/boss characters.  But wow, wherever you are Captain Creepy, thank you.

... also, I don't want to make a big production out of my posts here lol, but for anyone else really wanting this excellent collection in OpenMW there are a couple workaround solutions that use a script made by Nephiah -  here and here.  I haven't done it yet myself because not much time, but you could technically add the music here in just by adding script lines to the right places with openmw-cs (built-in editor in the OpenMW directory).

It's pretty simple to get the scripts open; I'm not exactly sure how to patch the new music in but it involves duplicating script sections and substituting the filenames you want + giving the script the song duration (minus one second so it can loop if needed), i.e. modifying lines and reprinting them - very easy I think.

Uh, here - for those of us who just want to toss one or two basic mods into this neat old game without having to deal with or catch up to the mod manager scene:

"EXPERT: For the more stubborn among you that refuse to get with the times, simply dragging and dropping the contents of each BAIN option into your /Morrowind/Data Files/ directory should take care of it."

So don't worry about a mod manager if your just patching up a few necessities. ALSO, the Morrowind Watercolored mod is pretty awesome and will save you having to deal with hi-res texture mods in all their glory (this is a 2002 game after all).

Using MO2 is very simple. I hope you try it sometime! It makes things waaay easier, especially if you are installing more than 5 mods. You will save time in the end by taking 20 minutes or so to learn it.

As for textures, I recommend Intelligent Textures or Morrowind Enhanced Textures if you want something all-encompassing that sticks with the original vision without changing too much.

Yes I just did this - easier and faster than managing manually :D. I've used MO2 a bunch before, for Skyrim and I think Dragon Age Inquisition, but I wasn't sure how it would work with OpenMW and didn't want to pack everything up and in right off the bat. (it works totally fine). All the rust is coming away, and soon i will be master of the FNIS and LOOT and everything else again I assume since Skyrim VR is on my horizon, so anyway thanks for the good advice!

      * If you aren't an OpenMW person, MO2 is exactly the same with the exception that you install a little exporter plugin that writes OpenMW's .cfg file for you - you just need to add BSA lines to the top of it then use the OpenMW launcher, really simple.

Oh, and I went with the AI texture pack - I think it's one of those you mentioned. It's excellent :)
