Nice quest idea and I like how the Shrine is marked on the map as if its a major thing in world. Feedback is as follows: 1) Little unsure on how the reward works. I used it and basically instantly died. 2) The audio for Clavicus is very echoey, this makes it super hard to hear what he is saying, Sounds like it was recorded in a somewhat spacious room. 3) Logic: What happens if the player has already used the Bittercup or handed it over before starting the quest. Does the quest still activate?
Interesting indeed. What about compatibility with major overhauls (Morrowind Rebirth, Tamriel Rebuilt)? I hope that the island with the shrine to Clavicus Vile is not touched by them. Is the quest reward item usable only once? EDIT: Is the quest connected somehow to Scamp the Creeper? According to UESP "Circa 3E 427, Barbas" (the Hound of Clavicus Vile) "took on the form of Creeper to live and trade with a group of Orcs in Caldera, Morrowind.".
The artifact is usable once, aside from the island, the only thing the mod changes is latest rumours in dagon fel, and requires bittercup, which causes intentional conflict with thieves guild
Ah, that artifact you've changed. It makes sense, because Bittercup is the Clavicus Vile's artifact indeed. Well, activating the Bittercup in vanilla Morrowind already interferes with the Thieves Guild quest line, specifically The Bitter Cup quest, so it's OK. Downloaded and will try it out when my current character will have the opportunity to visit Dagon Fel. Thanks for the reply.
EDIT: What player character's level is recommended to complete this Daedric quest?
as soon as you are able to grab the Bittercup, so no level requirement or recommendation, you just need to have a way to break into the 75pt locked door at Ald Redaynia, and be able to kill, or skirt around the undead vampiric ring wielder, if you build your character right, you can do this from level one, i sometimes do this to minmax my endurance using bittercup, but i suspect my mod creates a much more enticing meta.
grabbing the 100hp at level one for example sounds really good, but it will also damage your magicka or fatigue by 100 also, so its not inherently op, on the other hand, if you grab and use it at a much higher level, you can balance your player in a direction that may benefit you in another way.
personally I would use the chalice at lv 15 or so, and use it to drain my HP, in order to boost my magicka by 100 points permanantly, this could be quite powerful as a spellcaster.

Never going to say no to more Daedra quests.
