It's super helpful, but the problem I have is that some armors get put into different classes now, IE: Daedric Shield and Glass Cuirass are now medium armour.

Sorry for the late response. Just to make sure, you have the base "DG's Armor Rebalance" installed? If you do and the armors are still in different classes you might have to change the load orders. Since my mod modifies armors, and if you have the patch, try to keep it towards the bottom of the load order.

Correct me if I'm wrong here. You've made all weapons are lighter - but most the armor is heavier.

And does this just change weight, and thus INDIRECTLY change character speed?
     - Or is speed more directly changed on top of weight edits?

Sorry for replying a little late.

Most of the armor is actually lighter, in terms of average overall weight. Some gloves and pauldrons individually might be heavier, but when looking at full sets are lighter. The only armor that is heavier is the Dark Brotherhood's armor.

Shields are also heavier to more distinguish what weight classes they are in. I believe the light ones are still light and could be lighter than vanilla, mediums are about the same or slightly heavier, heavy shields depends on their metal type.

Weapons are definitely WAY lighter, but do not always follow their armor weight classes. One being glass, it's on the heavier side since it is a higher tier weapon.

It INDIRECTLY changes character speed. In Morrowind there are 4 main factors that effect character speed. The biggest one being strength which directly effects encumbrance. The more you can carry and the percentage of what your encumbrance has a larger impact on your speed than speed. At least in terms of average speed. Plus athletics, though I'm not sure how much of an impact this one has and could have the largest impact, I just don't know.

A poor example being, if you have 100 speed but you can only carry 100 pounds, depending on your gear at around 80 pounds you might be slightly faster than a guy with 50 speed and a 100 strength with the same gear. It's a poor example because I don't know the correct ratios, since it looks pretty complicated for my small peanut brain.

My mod is somewhat modular and small in terms of file size. Try it out, if you don't like how light you have become since it directly effects the weight balancing there is a pack that changed your overall strength to encumbrance ratio. If you find out you don't like it you just delete the mod. You don't need a fresh character, nothing will break, and once deleted everything should be back to normal.

Thanks for sharing! It's obviously well thought out. The only thing that stands out to me is the DB armor, but I find it very reasonable even as someone who uses mods to prevent the assassins from dropping it. Daedric not being so ridiculously heavy is a really welcome change in general, but especially because I also use a mod to make most placements unique so it's even more balanced.
