You know, the textures look good, but while you were generating them, you forgot about the mipmaps and they ripple a lot at a distance. I also see some of my work on screenshots, I'm glad that they were useful to you.
Just came here to stress this as well. Pretty jarring in places like Necrom. AFAIK Ordenator can do that in batch mode, probably also imagemagick. Definitely needs mipmaps.
If you use multiple data folders in OpenMW or a mod manager (like Mod Organizer 2), then it's much safer (and more convenient) to only use "Tamriel Textures Reloaded" as a texture replacer that overrides "Tamriel_Data" with better looking textures.
"Tamriel_Data" updates roughly once per year. If you delete TR_Data.bsa (from "Tamriel_Data") then you will be blocked from updating "Tamriel_Data" based mods like "Tamriel Rebuilt" until "Tamriel Textures Reloaded" adds the new "Tamriel_Data" resources (textures, meshes, icons …).
Also note that a lot of modern mods use "Tamriel_Data" content so you may also be blocked from installing some new mods until "Tamriel Textures Reloaded" is updated.
If you use "Tamriel Textures Reloaded" as pure texture replacer (override) then you should generally be able to update "Tamriel_Data" without breaking anything as any new content (textures, meshes, icons …) can be retrieved from the current TR_Data.bsa until "Tamriel Textures Reloaded" is updated.
This also avoids issues if WEIMOD ever has to abandon maintenance of this mod.
Having dealt with quite a few TR based mods, I can conclude that it's uncommon for them to be maintained over multiple years, for multiple TR releases. This is why I much prefer mods designed in such a way that they continue to work even if they are not maintained.
I looked through the textures and they do look like a great improvement.
I created a bug report about the issues I found - mainly in regards to textures that lost transparency and some textures that went missing.
I would recommend making this mod into a pure texture replacer and only include textures that are actually larger (or better in some other way). This will keep the size of the mod smaller and avoids compatibility issues with Tamriel_Data when it updates.
This also reduces the need for you to keep up with Tamriel Data changes in a as timely manner, as you no longer need to keep up with changes to bookart, icons and meshes. The current replacer textures will also (most likely) continue to work as intended - unless some Tamriel_Data textures get completely reworked in an update.
Seconding having this just be a texture replacer instead of a .bsa replacer, with MO2 updates to Tamriel_Data.bsa from the official team will still cooperate with this mod's textures, but if this is a straight-up .bsa replacer then the day TD updates this mod becomes deprecated
There's no plugin, so there should be no issue with save game compatibility. Also, the loose files will override anything in a BSA, like how texture replacers work with Morrowind.bsa.

WEIMOD any chance you could take a look at it?
What's the pros and cons of using the TR_Data.bsa replacer?
