I wanted to play the game as a half-vampire, but the current options for that either require MWSE (I'm playing on OpenMW) or resort to adding a new custom race or birthsign to simulate the experience. I wanted to pick one of the vanilla birthsigns and races AND be a half-vampire, so I made this mod. The mod should also be compatible with mods Chargen mods, because it adds a new activator (which looks like a Dwemer coin) to the table in the Census and Excise Office in Seyda Neen where the iron dagger and the Note to Hrisskar is. If you want to play as a half-vampire, you can activate the activator, if not, then just ignore it.
Advantages and disadvantages of being a half-vampire:
- You have sharper teeth, which you can also utilize in combat (+5 strength, +5 hand-to-hand) - Your skin is unnaturally pale, which makes people uncomfortable (-5 personality) - You can drink blood and doing so has positive effects on you, but you don't require it for survival (you receive the vanilla Vampire Touch spell) - Smaller animals are uneasy around you, because they sense the monster inside you (A demoralize creature spell named 'Vampire Hiss' that never fails) - You resist common diseases, but being a half-vampire, the value is halved (50% instead of 100%) - You are weaker against fire, but once again, being a half-vampire, the value is halved (25% instead of 50%)
This is all there is to it, everything that is not listed here is not part of the half-vampire experience in this mod, so there's no sun damage, and people will still talk with you etc.
