This mod seems to reintroduce a bug that was fixed by openmw, in which having lower fatigue actually decreases bartering prices for npcs, while having more fatigue increased prices. Prices were as far as I tested the only bug with the mod and turned it off since.
Mod making Morrowind exactly as I expected it to be when started playing it for the first time, except back then I was surprised by how nice everyone to main character. There's only one moment that weird me out - Some NPC's claim that mc is sick, which is confusing
Although it's very simple and obvious, I think you should mention that only one of the esps should be loaded and enabled at a time (since they all are by default).
Or only make the base one part of the main file, the others as optional files.
What a fantastic mod! My previous games were spoiled by getting everyone to love me too fast, spoiling the fun. This makes the world feels so unfriendly and hostile, I love it! Thanks for this great mod! (I'm playing an ugly Dunmer, so it feels more natural to be dislike by those who don't know me.) It makes the friendly NPCs more obvious to recognise and makes me want to be nicer to them (and not steal from them as much :D).
I'm on the base preset for the moment but I might later change for the harder.
Edit --About level 10, 26 speach and under 50 personality, I'm still often treated like scum, and it's a nice feeling. :D
This mod is really underrated. Such a simple tweak, yet it adds so much logic and "immersion" to the game. People are mistrusting, joining factions has meaning now. Opposite factions will hate you, their disposition will drop as low as 15 and they will outright decline to talk to you. Items that boost personality are actually useful - scrolls, potions and telvanni bug musk. Bribes are more common, you have to pay to get what you want. Imperial racial is useful and you find yourself saving it for the right occasions. It makes roleplaying characters much easier since there's an actual ingame consequence for your choices.
I love this mod, I started the game and everyone hates me, people barely talk to me, let alone barter with me. They don't shower me with rumours, though they still readily offer advice. Gives more meaning to Fargoth's and Hrisskar's quests, since you REALLY do look like you could use a friend now... it really sets a different tone to the game and you actually have to work on your people skills if you want to accomplish things. 10/10
Yes, Fargot's quest is very revealing. Why return the ring if everyone is already your friend. On difficult presets, friendship with the only merchant of the location provides many advantages. What preset did you choose for the game? A completely finished Voice Overhaul would be an excellent addition, but development is very difficult(
I always thought it was weird how Camonna Tong were just normal people, like you go to Hla Oad "watch out outlander those Camonna tong dont like you" or "if youre camonna tong you get services" "if you X house you get services" but everything was available and generic.
Until I realized alll you need to do is join guilds, you aren't "outlander" until you join the outlander factions because Morrowind doesnt have race-relations like Oblivion, just a +5 for the same race, other than that all NPCs (except for some specifics like dren plantation for example) just go off personality. just talking to Caius and becoming a blade gives you -3 points on any Camonna and Temple. I joined Imperial Cult, did a few quests and got the first promotion from Caius. At rank "acolyte" in the cult and post-skull blade I have 30 disposition on any temple and any tong, with 40 personality, getting called a scum and whatnot
a male non-darkelf non-imperial would be less than 30 disposition at this point easy, maybe even refuse service j
All just from joining the cult and and mandatory blades early game missions
Joining cult, fighters/mages and mandatory early game blades is enough to make every non-hlaalu dark elf dislike you a lot
Joining Thieves guild at this point would make every camonna seriously hate me, but I remember going to dren plantation with no factions and everyone there hating me though
I think this mod only makes sense if you join no outlander factions or else it would mess everything up
Yes, that's exactly how it works. But you're describing a perfect storm scenario. Low level of personality (40), joining exclusively imperial guilds at the start. Yes, in this case the Telvanni and Kamonna Tong will not be very happy with you. However, as soon as something goes wrong (joining a mixed guild), a high level of personality and everyone loves you with boundless love. And since the game involves going through almost all the guilds according to the scenario, this mod slightly limits the explosive growth of the disposition level.
Sorry, I'm new to Morrowind modding. How do I properly install this thing? I have it last in my load order and enabled in MO2, but everyone's disposition is always 0 no matter what, and I found no entry in the modconfig menu where I could choose a preset.
Each preset is a separate mod (there are four in the folder). Select the one you need based on the description and connect only it, you can delete the rest.

Endorsed!
