Balmora, Base of Operations
Author: Denina
Version 1.0
Requirements: Tribunal and Bloodmoon
About: Another Balmora house mod? Really?! Why, yes. Yes, it is. In the Morrowind Modding Community Discord Modathon-2022 channel on May 23, 2022, Stripes started a joke: "Everyone build a house mod in Balmora." And then striked it out. A few perpetuated the joke and it made me want to build one. I said so, but added that if I did, not to worry, I wouldn't release it. Lucevar piped up and said, "Please do release it. You never know if that will be the perfect house mod for someone." So, I agreed that if I made one, I would release it. So, thank (blame?) Stripes and Lucevar for this.
This places a Hlaalu-style house on the opposite end of the street from Caius Cosades right up the stairs from the South Wall Cornerclub. It looks small on the outside, but it's larger on the inside (like the Tardis). It features The Wanderer's alchemy boxes resource which include boxes for the base game, OAAB, Morrowind Crafting 3.0 and ST_Alchemy 1.4. There are cupboards built into the counter. Those mods aren't required to play, but will accommodate them if you do. There's also a sitting room, expensive liquor storage, a bedroom, display and storage room and a library/study. The sitting area has a sewing table to store sewing items from Morrowind Crafting. There's a teleport home ring somewhere in the house. Find it (it's not that hard, I promise). I adjusted the path grid in Balmora slightly to prevent NPCs from walking into the door of the house. No cost to get it, just move in.
Installation: Drop the meshes, textures and esp in the data files folder. Activate the mod in the launcher.
Highly recommended: Ingredient Sorter by The Wanderer - Built-in compatibility. https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/50795
Just install the sorter and go. All the work is done. I don't guarantee that all the ingredients will sort automagically - there are a lot of boxes - but almost all should work just fine.
I hope you enjoy the house.
Compatibility: It's Balmora. It's going to conflict with *something* though what it conflicts with, I don't know. I don't use a lot of mods that affect Balmora. Please let me know if you discover conflicts and I will update the Nexus page accordingly.
Credits:
Bethesda (obviously).
The Wanderer - Alchemy boxes, wingchair, the wonderful Lua ingredient sorter that I really recommend you use, as above.
Kiteflyer61 - Swirlwood desk and bookcase, underbed chests, sewing table, corner shelf.
Stuporstar - Bar cupboard from Pillow Mage Manor resource.
Melchior Dahrk - bedside tables from his de_p flat resource that I retextured with Bethesda's swirlwood.
Permissions: Everything in the mod is from resources that are free to use with credit.
Usage: If you want to use this or any of my other mods in your own mods, that's fine as long as you don't charge money for it. Just let me know so I can admire it.

Experiencing deja vu'? No, it's not your imagination. I did once make another house mod called Base of Operations several years ago. I ended up hating the house so I took it down from the Nexus. However, I love the name "Base of Operations" so I made a completely new version.
