I really like this, the balance and reasoning are excellent. Other spear/halberd tweakers tend to change a bit too much. To achieve the most compelling differences it's not really necessary to fiddle with the actual skill or the names of every weapon, just because some designers weren't experts in historical arms variants (a perennial video game quirk and not a big deal).
Not a request per se, but this is well-considered enough I'd be interested in an OAAB and TR_Data option for these changes, if you're ever up for it. Thanks!
I haven't played either of those mods even though I've been looking at Tamriel Rebuilt for a few years at this point. If I ever do I'll certainly want these changes there as well.
