Description:
------------

This is my personal tweaked version of Trylobit's Daedra Manor, which I have added to, in order to make it match more closely how I describe it in many of my Basil the Bastard novels. I have always loved this mod, it suited the old buzzard perfectly and it has always been a mainstay of my game. Trylobit described this as 'just another house mod, but one with a lot of options' and I've always loved its unique feel. Most of its options are still intact. I had done this once before, but lost everything in a hard drive crash along with basil. Now, 15 years on, I'm playing the game again, remade Basil and remaking his home! Mostly, the changes are just the house being 'poshed' up, because Basil loves luxury. I've tried not to clutter it up too much to allow the player to add their own stuff from furnishing mods and suchlike.

Quest to obtain full ownership of the house and most other scripts are unchanged.

I have changed some of the house guards to male for more variety and dressed them in Daedric armour that can't be removed, to avoid the player just taking it if they die. I removed the dancers and the gate guards are now Dremora, as often mentioned in my stories.

Cats!
Cats now wander around the house as Basil always loved cats and they keep the vermin down. They are textured and named after my own cats, both alive and deceased.

The mansion is a complete structure in Daedric style for the player, probably the most complete Daedric structure in Vvardenfell. Location is in the Foyada Ashur-dan about horizontal from Ghostgate. Or in normal language: SW of Stronghold Falensarano. I've included a map showing its exact location as it's quite out of the way (just as Basil prefers!).

This house contains guards, a sleeping place, lots of storage space, many Daedric statues, a swimming pool, dining room, a little garden, an arena, armor mannequins, a torture room, teleportation to the manor, a trophy room, ancient burial grounds, teleportation from the manor to 4 nonquest-related Daedric ruins around Vvardenfell and much more.

This house does not contain: uber merchants, trainers, free powerful items, or other phat lute. Mastersmith Baldakoth will make Daedric armour for you, but it will cost a lot!

About the Skeleton Race:
I've removed all the dependencies and merged the Skeleton Race mod with this one and also removed the 'playable' flag on this race to prevent unnecessary clutter in the race menu at the start of the game. It can be switched back on in the CS. I've also removed the need for Sheikizza's armour as that is quite old now and didn't mesh well with Better Bodies, which I use. This removes the need to hunt down mods to make this work.

I'd like to thank (in no particular order):
Trylobit for the original mansion which just blew my mind and suited my big Basil so perfectly.

(From Trylobit's readme):
Miltiades: A visitor from the official forum that requested a Daedric House mod, since I already had begun working on one, I decided to create on for public use. He made many, many, many suggestions which are incorporated in this mod. He also checked all the dialogue, text, and cheers and improved it quite a bit, he also suggested new taunts that are included. He was also a beta tester for version 1.8. Without him, this manor would have never grown from a mere hut to the manor it is now.

Cheezpoof: who allowed me to use his/her Skeleton Race mod.

Grumblepunk: I used a part of his armor mannequin script for the armor mannequins in this mod.

Michael Felske: I got the idea for a cheering crowd from his mod 'Heavenly Pleasures'.

(Added by me):
Denina: for our many years of writing our Basil & Leah stories, filling out my vision and encouraging me to make these changes and answering my stupid questions after forgetting how to mod this game after 15 years away! Also for helping me with the cats. Couldn't have done this without her.

Terry Pratchett for the set of books: 'Sea & Little Fishes' (Finding this in the original mod was a joyful surprise as I'm a huge fan of Pratchett's work!)

Eddie5 of the MMC for all his help when I broke the teleport scripts!

Korana for all kinds of little odds and ends.

Dongle for the musical instruments. Now Basil has a music room!

Arthur for writing and performing the music they play.

New textures painted by me.

Cait for the cat models.

Probably some other stuff as I go along...

-------------------

Known issues (from Tylobit's readme):
- When you're going to summon creatures through the summoning chamber, read Coldrax's journal in that room carefully. Otherwise you might be unpleasantly surprised when items disappear. He wrote his notes out for a reason!

Legal stuff:
this mod is created for the community and I hope that whoever uses has fun with it. You can do what you want with it, when you want to do it. Just credit the creators of the original assets.
