This mod is entered as part of the 2022 morrowind modathon.

This mod offers replacers for several vanilla helmets that I don't intend touch with my completed armor mods (except maybe imperial silver). The reasoning behind each model is a little different so I've written up an explanation if you care to read but if not then decide purely based on your aesthetic tastes.

The helmets replaced are: Ebony, Adamantium, Imperial silver, and Telvanni Cephalopod. The ebony, silver and adamantium come with optional plumeless variants.

1.5 UPDATE: adds Steel and Iron replacers.

Adamantium: This more ordinary looking piece will replace the generic adamantium helmet leaving the Helm of Tohan with the more unusual original design as a unique item. Despite sharing the same mesh and icon the Adamantium helm and Tohan helm actually use separate files so they can be replaced without any ESP. The round design of the adamantium helm in this mod is meant to align more with design of the rest of the set. The helm of Tohan plug in came out before the adamantium armor one so I suspect the helm of tohan came first and the rest of the set was built around it afterwards.

Ebony: the vanilla bucket helm is long despised by many of my modding brethren and while I don't share their vigor to the same degree I do at least understand it. The original helmet is unusual and draws into question the origin of the rest of the set, its weirdness implies Dunmer craft but the rest of the set implies a western ideal. The helmet is designed to be more western to match the rest of the set. (I already have my own dunmer ebony armor anyway)

Cephalopod: When I first saw the Cephalopod helm my eyes were drawn to the visor section at the bottom and so for the longest time I always thought the wearer saw out of there (I never even noticed the eye holes until much later) but that doesn't match up with the line of sight at all. Only now with my replacer model it does. (It looks cooler.)

Imperial Silver: The original helm is too small and clips badly with the massive foreheads of the human female head models. I don't know if I'll ever do a full set for the imperial silver set as the one that already exists isn't bad and my duke's armor is distinguished enough from it to feel like a different set anyway. the original version is also pretty boring. (Special thanks to Endoran for the original concept)
