I would rather overcome their feeling through actions than just have them ignore me specifically because I'm the player character... I can walk right into Windhelm when legally I shouldn't be able to.
Hey, it's a good idea, adds to immersion. Thank you for uploading your mod <3 What about adding some rebel beast race NPCs who oppose such behavior, and things get more violent? Like the main quest event in the Black Shalk cornerclub. Just an idea. I was thinking about the same policy and started adding similar elements, but for vampires. For example, in one of my quests, there's a Dunmer vampire in the clan Aundae (that particular sub-faction of Aundae allows the Mer to join them, and, well, mostly Dunmer to be precise), who wants to overthrow the local Aundae leader, because he doesn't trust outlanders, and he encourages player to help him, but only if player is a Dunmer. I'm also adding another quest now, in which a desperate small group of Aundae grooms the player to become a neonate, if player is an Altmer with the right stats, preferred by the clan. Bethesda, for obvious reasons, did not work hard on such themes, it is our solemn duty to fix it xD
