The Detect Animal/Enchantment/Key feature is great for use with the Map and Compass mod, as it shows you the things you detect a lot more conveniently than the minimap (even assuming you have that visible), and to the full range of your detecting ability. I noticed his doesn't seem to support the MCP "fix" that turns Detect Animal into "Detect Life", making it detect NPCs as well as critters. Would enabling that conflict with the options for showing merchants etc., or is it just an oversight?
If you're still working on this mod, as has been pointed out several times already, simple static indicators for cardinal directions would be great - it's kinda the first and foremost thing I'd expect from a compass, y'know? :) Making the compass bar span the whole screen for a 90-degree "field of view" would also be nice.
PS. Oh, never mind that last bit, I just realized Seph's HUD Customizer already has an option to stretch the compass area!
I can't recall if that was intentional, but I think I remember looking at that idea because those ones kinda are travel signs per se. It also applies to caravanners and the propylons.

Red.: Oh, found out about Seph's HUD Customizer. Disregard this comment

Absolutely still using it, though.
