Okay, Editor's choice defeated me- I had started a new heavily modded game. Literally over 200 dungeon and quest mods. I decided to include this to make the now very densely packed island feel bigger.
Slight running-in-placeness of animations, but didn't matter because 1st person. It took me a bit to get used to the slowness but I eventually got into it. Really did improve pacing. Underwater segments of the dungeons around Seyda Neen were appropriately nightmarish without Water Breathing, pretty cool if challenging. But when I ventured forth after some hours and ran into trouble... I couldn't run away from it. My modded game was way harder and man I need more speed. I'll try the "normal" version for now but I may have to turn it off entirely.
Actually makes potion crafting VERY usful among many other aspects of the game mechanics that could easily be skiped over o top of travel options! Thanks you for your work :)
I like the idea of this mod, I just wish the timescale setting was modular. While it should be easy enough to compensate with other timescale mods, things like dynamic timescale and the effect it has on Ashfall hunger/thirst make it so more fiddling is required.
This is very likely going to make the game feel very different and I think I might really enjoy it... however Idk if I have the willpower to actually put myself through a slower walk speed LOL
Nice, I'll give it a go. It sounds as if you've not made these variables alterable in-game via the mod menu, which is kind of missing a trick. You'd get less feedback I imagine, but as it's such a subjective thing anyway I'm not sure that's a problem.
I was really hoping to see something here about massively increased stamina consumption and speed decrease when going up inclines, but I'm not sure if that would be possible via MWSE or if it would take some engine alteration. It's still something I'd love. Running over hills and mountains feels ludicrous, as does seeing enemies do the same as I'm shooting them full of arrows.
Haha yeah, exactly. I couldn't figure out what the best options were so I just uploaded three versions. I made the mod in response to a post asking for mods that make travel more "arduous" or time consuming, so the values are a bit arbitrary.
I'm open to any suggestions or tweak requests that could improve the mod or achieve the original intent better than what's available. I'll upload an option containing those adjustments when I can.
Make it a mandatory mod for the first playthrough of anyone coming from Oblivion or later, that's my suggestion. But I just want to watch the world burn.

Cool mod, clean before use.
