Changelogs
Version V1.3
This version of the Config provide a lot of improvements
Vendors Equip armor prevention (simple change flag to false, it get kind of stupid especially when you sell people assassin armors
GIANT ALCHEMY WALL - this is very good, alchemy menu is giant and off-center for fast crafting with a lot of ingredients
Bigger looting and trading windows to make trading quicker
mod increase preload distance by 20% which should zero any loading screen initialization and replace them with minot stutters if you manage to move that fast xD
game looks slightly better at night time than before, mostly thanks to my changes in morrowind.ini and config
First person head bobing is disabled because its super annoying to me,
Item spell-casting was turned ON, this have multiple QoL changes, its more immersive and it should prevent spam-activating items by accident, on the other hand it prevent spam activating items if you happened to abuse it
Version V1.2
I think this is max my phone can handle
Loading times are noticeable and takes 1 second + 2-3 seconds on fresh load
SHADERS and LIGHTS in very advanced form
Fixed the bug where trading inventory of trading person was centered on the edge of the screen
Highly recommended using Tes3cmd for your plugins, helped me with performance a little bit
If you notice crashes or performance problems with this settings, feel free to turn off shaders.
sorry for potential inconvenience, but visual effects ware worth it!
Version V1.1
Update to Lod settings to see more of a distance
decreased Anisotropic filtering to x4 from default x16
default green changed from 0.45 0.8 0.45 to 0.4 1 0.4
all windows has been edited with text editor to make them as accurate as possible
Small overlap on character menu to inventory (looks nasty with stat panel active, but with inventory panel active its alright)
all windows got small improvements to be more symmetrical
Version 1.4
This time i simply went over all the settings again and tried what made gameplay weak and tweaked it with tests
So AI processing distance in main world is not big deal, i like luring clif racers for kilometers and invading the cities
in Southaim thats hell, not because its hard, but bcs its take long time to kill everything and you need to repair and recharge mana
this specific DLC had huge influence over the changes, but Boentiah statue swimming cause me few frustrations aswel
i ended surrounded by weird small frame enemies that again could not kill me, but could rekt my whole gear and making moving hard
NEXT: Enchanted Item Casting Animation, few people mentioned they did not liked that change
i personally liked it at 1st but than realized if someone would want to make fireball ring laser of doom (for fun)
low damage fireball thing that just use ring casting mechanics to make vision of laser XD
they could not do that and here Ability to have fun and vanilla-like experience won over personal preference
next Preload distance - if player approach 260+ speed or leap-jump forward a lot at 200+ speed, they can face LOADING
long enough to know loading exist, but short enough to question what was loading even for!
This should give render distance additional buffer before loading will be needed and hopefully offset loading at high speed movement
Sadly settings.cfg file i used Refer to the character save and as such you will have to load your game, save it and exit it
to make settings refer to your character again, im sorry for this inconvenience, i was affected by it too during tests... xD
have fun playing the game
and sorry for not updating the mod sooner, i used self-excuses as its good enough and didn't wanted to accidentally make things worse by being bias or pressure to make more changes
Mod is just compiled settings file created to never have problems with restoring my perfect setup ever again! Mobile transition from 0.46 to 0.47 wasn''t as smooth as for other platforms - still worth it! therefor i lost all my setup and everything and spend weekend to restore it This mod is created to never have to redo all my setups from point 0 and to have some qualities right from the box Thanks a lot for endorsement, it means a lot!
You need to place settings.cfg file in: \Phone\omw\config File don't use any options or shaders that you would not have in standard OpenMW release There is a chance non mobile users of OpenMW could take this settings as well, i just did not tried it my PC could handle more than my phone so i m not sure if there is much to gain for PC users
You can easily navigate thru the document with notepad++ -(my favorite editor, notepad should works too)
copy windows and colors sections
or just search for settings.cfg in OpenMW folders and replace it for yolo
and if everything worked just crank up the settings to Oblivion (pun intended)
Features: Functional multi-treat loading for terrain Preloading cells in background (excluding doors and fast travel) Melee info, sprint and sneak toggle, best attack off, barter disposition off, show enchant chance on Turn to movement direction, smooth movement, NPC avoid collisions, NPC give space
(Game mechanic changes are very subjective, i can't say what is best for you, but i hope it's good start)
Green text for new dialogues Red box and text for stolen goods Default grey text for exhausted dialog options
(i used different color on grey in description to keep it readable)
decent visual quality and great performance FPSes are capped at 30 frames
(mainly to save batteries and because this combat model + playing on phone does not require top quality reflex)
Perfect windows composition - (subjective due to how highly personalize-able this options are)
Dialog window bellow function keys, with enough space to access persuasion from reload
Dialog window takes 1/4 of the screen and is centered for convenience
Inventory window with: 1/6 character screen, 1/6 game screen, 1/6 map window, 1/6 spell menu and 2/6 character inventory
Alchemy window turned into Alchemy Wall, big entity used to make potions with factory speed and access to a lot of ingredients immediately
Trade window and looting window are improved, both provide clear balance between player/shopkeeper and display more than single row of items with no problems
As you might have noticed i focus a lot on user interface, this is because OpenMW team knows what they are doing in optimization side of the game i literally had to just switch couple of options and everything worked nice with 0.47
I have Finished the game and beat the Dagoth, Almalexia and collected a lot of rep with this settings, only issue was huge particle emitters (again mobile phone don't have GPU)
Thanks to Morrowind community, glad you guys and gals are still here, i love this game! Thanks to Docent27, Sisah and Abdu for Mobile port of OpenMW 0.47 And all people who worked towards previous ports for this project
