Simple questions, simple answers. Help me out here.
I hold no truck with "Clouds". I do not accept cookies, I do not use my real name, day of birth and telephone number on the internet and I don't even let Steam games save anything in "The Cloud".
This may be a generational thing, but even the thought of storing anything in a "Cloud" irritates me. Free at first, sure, but then they charge you for access to your photos and videos then when you stop paying ALL your family images and movies are gone forever, and even the actual files you download back from the "Cloud" turn into broken links!
I know my pre-teen grand daughters are into TwokTwat, Shitsagram, Twatarse, Farcebox and so on, but they don't just leave me cold, they sicken me.
If it doesn't actually use an internet "Cloud", you should have called it "Infinite Storage", not "Cloud Storage". But as you didn't, and as you are acting shady and not answering two simple questions, I won't be downloading this.
I remember when cookies remembered your language settings, customised browser settings and made a web page load faster.
Now, they track and trace everywhere you go, everything you do, everyone you call, everyone you e-mail, every forum and web site you visit and scrape OFF-LINE data, from ANY device, to match you to their profile so they can spam you with adverts for a washing machine, 5 days after you bought...
a WASHING MACHINE!
Not even something useful I might want, like a tumble dryer!
The term "Cloud" here has nothing to do with anything on the internet or storage anywhere outside of the game :D It was original named long before the internet term 'cloud' had any meaning in this modern world, and I have no intention of changing it.
Your items are just held in universial containers, held safely 'inside' the game, that you can access from anywhere in game as long as the mod is enabled. :)
"The term "Cloud" here has nothing to do with anything on the internet or storage anywhere outside of the game " OK, so the Cloud Storage Warehouse is a mod tool that lets many other modders make similar mods with infinite storage?
Why couldn't you just say that in the first place? I had looked at it before I first posted, but it said it created "a Cloud Storage layer" so I thought "NO WAY!" >:-o
"It was original named long before the internet term 'cloud' had any meaning in this modern world, and I have no intention of changing it." So you invented the concept long before 2006, when Cloud Storage became Mainstream? Cloud storage was actually first invented by Dr. Joseph Carl Robnett Licklider in the 1960s, and offered by CompuServe in the 1980s.
But I see you added a sticky post: "All your items are stored in secure ingame containers."
Good!
Shame that was not there in the first place! I'm using another Bag of Holding mod now, based on AD&. It sadly weighs 15 lb and can hold only 500 lb of gear. And it's in a Telvanni building, so I can't get t for a while, unless I console it in. If you had answered me properly in the first place, I'd be using yours.
"OK, so the Cloud Storage Warehouse is a mod tool that lets many other modders make similar mods with infinite storage?" No longer confined to just modder adding containers, with: Cloud Storage Warehouse - Public Shoppe every player can now also add their own containers while in game wherever 'they' want them.

Thanks for taking the time to come back and have your say... if nothing else it show you do/did have an interest in this mod. 👍
I love this mod! Experiencing a really weird issue - I cant add the bag to quick keys, which is mostly OK. But it also keeps disappearing from my save, on any save load. Adding it to my inventory does not work either - I have to add it to someone elses, and loot it from them.... Help would be very welcome.
Yes, so far everything else is working as expcted. I did update the Cloud Storage mod, yes. Also the issue is not always present - it comes and goes. Atm I have 2 bags in my inventory, and before a reload due to death there were none. The MWSE log is complaining of the missing body parts (does so even on a clean morrowing, no errors in game) and about an invalid reference in the MUSE2 lua scripts. Thats it.
Sorry at the momment I don't know what to say :( especially as you say it's intermitent as well. It sounds like there could be a confict but have no idea with what that might be.

Having the same issue, after equipping the bag clicking "open" and then "safe" causes a CTD.

Can you post your mwse.log, found in morrowind root folder this is just a text file. Hopefully it will give me a clue as to why you are having this issue but I'm not.
So...I went ahead and installed cloud storage warehouse and this mod. Everything seemed to be fine, except using the "Auto" function didn't sort my soul gems out of my inventory. But...clicking the "panic!" button crashed me to desktop. This was on a test save, so there were no more than 50 items to be moved, total, but...still.
Further testing:
Everything else seems to be working as intended, except the following: Using the "Auto" function does not transfer soul gems from inventory to bag of holding/cloud storage. Manually choosing "open" and then "soul gems" opens a container window and I can place soul gems into it. I can also repeat these steps to remove the soul gems. HOWEVER....if any *filled* soul gems are stored in the cloud/bag, and I hit the "panic!" button, the result is an immediate crash to desktop.
Update for soul gems not auto stored available. This is a Cloud Storage fix not this mod.
will look into why filled sould gems would crash the game. Again this will be with the Cloud Storage system not this mod. this mod only has the bag container and no code for how it works.
Okay I've tested with both filled and unfilled soul gems both will now auto store with the Cloud Storage update. I've also tested the panic button and I do not get a CTD. Everything is returned as expected.
I have tested the panic button with well over 500 items stored so I know quantities are not the issue.
Prehaps you can give me a bit more information? was there any errors in your mwse.log (found in the morrowind root folder) ? what filled soul gem did you use ?
Sorry for the slow reply, I had to go back and pop your mods into my load order again to make a fresh mwse.log for you, presuming it still crashed. This is with your most recent versions uploaded. On the bright side, the auto button did correctly pick up both my empty petty 1 soul gem, and my filled Grand V soul gem (with golden saint 400/600 capacity). However, I'm still ctd when I use the panic button...*now* whether any soul gems are in the bag or not. BTW, ya still have 28 duplicate records in your cloud warehouse file according to tes3cmd. Take that puppy to the shower and wash its paws.
Here's the mwse.log: (I pasted the entire thing instead of just the crash data so you'd have *all* the information, including what other lua/mwse mods I've got running right now. If you'd also like my plugin list, let me know, but it's mostly really typical stuff like Patch for Purists and Real Signposts. I've got "A simple bag of holding" running but that plugin mod uses zero lua/mwse, and creates a "bag" by summoning/force greeting an invisible rat companion for a share session. It's not really a container, and definitely isn't doing anything with cloud storage, so I don't think it should conflict with your mod at all.)

Happy troubleshooting :)
Dunno if it makes a difference, but I'm using Steam's Morrowind GOTY edition.
Hmm... there dosen't apper to be anything in there about what has caused the ctd.
And I have tested the panic button and can't get it to ctd :(
But as I have said all the code for the operation of the bag is in the Cloud Storage mod. All this mod contains is the bag no code. I will continue to look though.
As far as I know steam/cog/whatever doesn't make any difference.
By the way the 'Panic' button is generic, and its operation identical, throughout all Cloud Storage compatible mods and containers.
This is all that is consistently added to the mwse.log whenever it crashes: Lua traceback at time of crash:stack traceback:[C]: in function 'transferItem'Data Files\MWSE\mods\tw_cloud_storage\main.lua:234: in function 'PanicButton'Data Files\MWSE\mods\tw_cloud_storage\main.lua:442: in function 'callback'.\Data Files\MWSE\mods\tw_cloud_storage\messagebox.lua:71: in function <.\Data Files\MWSE\mods\tw_cloud_storage\messagebox.lua:69>MiniDump creation successful.
For now, I'mma just use a different bag/house mod hehe. Must be *something* in my list of stuff that is conflicting with it somehow, or just some weirdness of my system.
Ah yeah, when you start with this and Cloud Storage Warehouse:
"One of the files that "tw_ExplorersMagicalBag.esp" is dependent on has changed since the last save. This may result in errors. Saving again will clear this message but not necessarily fix any errors."
I guess this is probably a safe error, since you just fixed the lua code in CSW? Would be great if you would fix it, though. It's always nicer to start Morrowind without errors :)
You know, Wanderer, ultimately this might be the best "house" mod for compatibility. Super light weight, a breeze to use, no misfitting textures, no danger of save corruption through big cell edits and basically no lore violations.
The auto function sorts and clears your inventory in seconds, when you'd need to use an hour to manually sort everything in a player home without cloud storage. And no need to visit ten rooms, either.

A great addon for this bag.
All your items are stored in secure ingame containers.
OpenMW, as far as I know, still does not completely support Lua code which this mod uses. Maybe one day.

Happy troubleshooting :)
Dunno if it makes a difference, but I'm using Steam's Morrowind GOTY edition.
Have you run MWSE-Update.exe ?
you'll find it in your Morrowind root directory
I don't know.
This is all that is consistently added to the mwse.log whenever it crashes:
Lua traceback at time of crash:stack traceback:[C]: in function 'transferItem'Data Files\MWSE\mods\tw_cloud_storage\main.lua:234: in function 'PanicButton'Data Files\MWSE\mods\tw_cloud_storage\main.lua:442: in function 'callback'.\Data Files\MWSE\mods\tw_cloud_storage\messagebox.lua:71: in function <.\Data Files\MWSE\mods\tw_cloud_storage\messagebox.lua:69>MiniDump creation successful.
For now, I'mma just use a different bag/house mod hehe. Must be *something* in my list of stuff that is conflicting with it somehow, or just some weirdness of my system.
There is also a possible fix available from The Cloud Storage download page.
"One of the files that "tw_ExplorersMagicalBag.esp" is dependent on has changed since the last save.
This may result in errors. Saving again will clear this message
but not necessarily fix any errors."
I guess this is probably a safe error, since you just fixed the lua code in CSW? Would be great if you would fix it, though. It's always nicer to start Morrowind without errors :)
That is not an ERROR !!!
All it means is a file that you use has been changed since you last saved. Nothing to fix.
You will get the same message when any file you use from any modder gets updated/changed/improved.
Solution: Quit game, go get all those updates, reload, save, reload, play - simple :)
Important: Modders update their mods to either improve or bug fix them it is important you update your mod list.
The auto function sorts and clears your inventory in seconds, when you'd need to use an hour to manually sort everything in a player home without cloud storage. And no need to visit ten rooms, either.
Thank you.
