I see in a post below, you describe where the 4 houses are located. Can you also clue us in on where the NPCs are who are selling the houses? Would be useful to see on the description of the mod. Thank you.
Surely... three of the houses are being offered by a somewhat well-dressed fellow that wanders about Balmora, and the fourth is found very near the Ald Velothi house.
I just spent an hour wandering Balmora talking to every person that isn't a guard. Nobody was selling. I would love to use these houses, but I can't get inside. It would help to know if I had the correct person and the dialogue was missing, but with the vague wording you have given I wouldn't be able to know.
? These are the two house-sellers. The Dunmer is in Ald Velothi (and handles only *that* house), and the other wanders around Balmora and sells the other houses. He does sometime wander outside of city limits; look around, he's there *somewhere*. If you can't find *him*, NPCs sometimes (rarely) fall into the river/canal. See if he's decided to take a swim...
Also not that for either, if you don't look like you might be able to afford their "wares", they may assume that you're not a prospect.
There will eventually be a number of houses added specifically for TR, likely in a version 2.0... presumably in separately-downloadable modules for small groups of dwellings.
It seems very doubtful that there would be a problem; we've not heard of any such, and I have seen posts elsewhere indicating that NoM 3.03a was at *least* pre-2012... so if no grouses in 10 years... :}
I am the one causing the confusion; I had been thinking more "Morrowind Crafting" when you mentioned NoM, instead of *houses*.
I much-doubt that there would be any colliding; the houses are placed well out of the way in each instance, so I cannot imagine NoM placing a well or some such where the houses are. The original release of MC Houses was quite a long time ago, however, and I have not seen any mention of a conflict. I do not use NoM myself, so do not know *for sure* what NoM does that could affect the landscape. However, as mentioned above, I very much doubt that there would be any conflict.
Any chance to get a modular version? I'm currently interesed only on the Ald Velothi one, since I've mods covering Caldera, Balmora, Vos and Ebonheart surroundings.
By modular, I take it that you mean individual houses? It would be awkward, as three of them are sold by the same NPC... though in some future version, I cannot rule it out; once Morrowind Crafting 3.0 full release is completed, I do intend to place several houses/towers/forts/manors/whatever upon the mainland, so it may well be workable to break it down somewhat. Perhaps individual .esp files, so that one can activate only those that interest one? They would have to have separate sellers or quests, of course. And then there is also Armon Dahl Manor, to come out after MC3 full version is released; that is in Mournhold, and is a *large* manor (which requires a bit of work to come to own).
Well, unlike on Skyrim, in Morrowind the plugin limit is a much less concerning issue due MWSE, so adding more pluggins wouldn't be an issue. Still I get what you think with the fact that many plugins for a simple mod would be awkward.
No, the only thing I though was in a version without the houses in Balmora, Vos and Ebonheart, leaving only the one in Ald Velothi available, since I've covered those places.
Or release the Ald Velothi as a standalone, since there are zero player house mods there.
In any case, you picked my interest with the idea of houses in the mainland. Are you planning to add some to TR cities?
I am indeed, as well as a few 'in the wild'.. or at least, in less-opulated areas. Possibly a tower upon an isolated island, and possibly one set in a ship; actual locations are still TBD while we work upon MC3.
All right, I have time tomorrow (Thursday, 1/6/2021). I'll separate Stonehome out and upload it here. (Thursday) All right, uploaded as 'optional file'.
Any coordinates/directions for these houses? I looked in the readme and there's no additional information about where these houses are located, aside from the hints in the screenshot.
One is located in Caldera, in the area behind the inn; a second is on the peninsula that leads to Ebonheart, across from Vivec. A third is just outside of Ald Velothi, and the fourth is on the outskirts of Vos. (Listed in the same order as the images above)

If not I will try this out.
