Usually you can drop .kf files into meshes and they work. Can you do that instead? I didn't really understand the install instructions. Can you upload a picture of how your .cfg line entry is typed specifically and where you copied the animation folder? Thanks!
Wait so are individual .kf animation replacements now possible? Does OpemMW let us extract singular animations? I have a few sneak animations I'd love to implement myself if so. Is there a tutorial around here for this sort of thing?

It doesn't work for me, with openmw .49 recent build.
I have no related error in the logs and skeletons still fight with fists.
I put that in openmw.cfg:
data="/%mypath%/OpenMWMods/Animation/BeastHandToHandForSkeletonsOpenMWOnly/Beast HandToHand for Skeletons (OpenMW Only)"
And your Animations folder is in that path.
To test it I simply add many skeletons with the console until I get a hand-to-hand one.
