I run Openmw and Tamriel Rebuilt. This mod runs perfectly for it. No missing textures, to terrain manipulation. It's a beautiful rendition of the original. Still feels vanilla, but with a new level of detail and life. The armor sets on the guards look amazing. And I love the additional shop. Awesome work.
have the same trouble; the answer? nif-tx-strip: i download by manager, then download the files manually, aply the strip and then drop the textures/meshes/ and icons in the data folder
The problem is that the file paths for the textures are absolute rather than relative. For example, the file path on katana.nif is "e:\steam hry\steamapps\common\morrowind\data files\textures\ghostgate\cloth.dds" when it should be "textures\ghostgate\cloth.dds" so that it'll work wherever Morrowind is installed on someone's computer.
I'm nowhere near an expert modder, so please forgive me if this question is a bit noobish. Is this issue with the file path something that I can fix on my end, or would it have to be updated by the mod creator, and then we end users download the updated version?
Simply drag & drop the files inside the "meshes" folder (or the "meshes" folder itself) from this mod onto the nif_tx_strip.exe and they will be fixed.
It doesn't matter where you put the files from nif-tx-strip, as long as nif_tx_strip.exe and nif_tx_strip_spirithawke.bat are in the same folder. Then, take the "GHOSTGATE" folder from this mod's meshes folder and put it in the same folder where these files are. Don't put the individual files there, but the folder with them inside. Then, drag the "GHOSTGATE" folder onto the nif_tx_strip_spirithawke.bat. A console window will open with a list of the files that have been fixed. That's it, move/copy the folder with the fixed files back into the mod's archive or the meshes folder (and overwrite the old ones).
Not sure where you are getting nif_tx_strip_spirithawke.bat from. I downloaded the program where you said and only got nif_tx_local, nif_tx_scan, and nif_tx_strip. No spirithawke.bat
I did put the meshes though the strip. Its just opened and closed a window but I hoped that worked.
