PSA: it took me long enough, but soon-ish OpenMW development builds (builds of the in-progress 0.49.0, for people from the future) will get NiFogProperty support, allowing Apel's original mesh changes to work as intended. Rebirth meshes from here would still be relevant, I guess.
Thanks much for the patch ! Edited, I had a question about related mod, fixed now.

I have a question, but is not related to the mod directly, I still ask, never know ! The cleaning you made for the fire, I’d like to do the same for a mesh in Dave Humphrey's Furniture. It’s about its log pile on fire, it has black squares as smoke… I’d love to fix that but I don’t know how, or if even possible… ( And, well, I think it’s the same kind of mesh issue at least, but I’m not even sure…) It’s a repost so not sure if I can reach the author anywhere.

Edit : Fixed, was not about mesh but simply textures, the mod was adding its own. It was obvious, I’m stupid… lol
I'm following the main quest, and am now in the Ilunibi caverns (for the Sixth House base quest), and noticed that several of the camp fires in those caves (but not all) are missing a texture for the base of the camp fire. The area inside the circle of rocks is purple. Can this be because of a conflict with another mod? I'm using OpenMW on Linux and have all mods installed in separate directories. Using ORI in the console, after clicking on the area with a missing texture, pointed to the location where I have installed this mod.
The update fixed the problem I had. Thank you. (Just after I posted my original message I also started noticing the missing textures in other places, Wolverine Hall being one of them. That has also been fixed by this update.)
