About this mod
Prevents spamming to raise skill levels by reducing the XP you get if you use particular skills repeatedly. No more constant jumping, or letting your character get pummeled by mudcrabs, or tossing spell after spell after spell at a wall. This mod takes away the benefit of doing that.

Why did you do it? Because you could, right? You KNOW it was just cheesing the game. There were better, more fun things you could have been doing. More story driven skill acquisition instead of mindless grinding for sure. What if there was a way to make all those grindy methods simply... unprofitable?
Well, now there is!
The Diminishing Skill Returns mod will penalize your skill XP gain rate if you use the same skill more than X times in a configurable time period (default is five seconds). How many uses per time period is also configurable (or disabled) for each skill individually in the Mod Configuration Menu (MCM). The first time you use a skill more than X times in a set time period, your rate of skill XP gain will fall to 64%. If you keep using that skill for another time period, it will fall to 32%, then 16%, then 8%, then 4%, then 2% and finally 1%. Those who bunny hop from Seyda Neen to Balmora will have to hop 100x more to gain the same amount of Acrobatics skill as normal!
If you stop jumping for a time, also configurable in the MCM, your rate of skill XP gain will recover back to 100%. This mod keeps you honest by maximizing your rewards for playing the game organically, rather than spamming skills. If you have to make a couple jumps in some cave somewhere, you'll get full XP for both! But endlessly jumping down the ramps in Vivec? You'll eventually earn next to nothing.
This version is a 0.1 release to allow people to test the mod and give me feedback on whether the defaults are reasonable and if the mod as a whole could use any tweaks. Let me know what you think on Discord: CoolsHisHands#9797
