About this mod

Just download and install this mod (with Mod Organizer 2 if you know what's good for you) and enjoy this newfound world of Bosmers with Black Eyes!
But wait, are you thinking to yourself, "don't the Wood Elves in Morrowind already have black eyes?"
Not enough, Hrisskar Flat-Foot thinks. Some textures have totally normal eyes! Aside from our dear friend Fargoth, almost all the Wood Elf faces have totally un-fucked up, not-black, human-looking eyes! So consider this a change for consistency and ultimate immersion and lore-friendliness! or something. I just think they look better like this. They are Mer, after all. So get downloading!
Caveat (Caveat Nerevar?): You need Westly's Pluginless Head and Hair Replacer. Want to fuck up all those darn Bosmers but you don't have that mod? Go to Leyawynn's "tiny dumb mods" page, a section of which inspired this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/48927. Leyawynn's is for vanilla faces, far as I can tell, whereas my ripoff is exclusively for Westly's faces.
So, with that said:
REQUIREMENTS:
Westly's Pluginless Head and Hair Replacer (yes, it's not on Nexus. yes, that site is safe. no, it won't give your 2003 fifty pound laptop coronavirus. or blight disease. side effects may include, however, being enlightened about the fact that Nexus Is Not The Only Place To Find Mods). So download and install that first If you don't . . . well I don't know what will happen. Your computer might explode. Or most likely your Wood Elf faces will just look really weird because the textures in Westly's mod (and consequently this mod) are designed for higher-poly meshes than vanilla, so they will be mapped differently. Or they might look fine. I don't know. Try it out, if you're feeling kinky.
My file contains only the Wood Elf face textures that didn't previously have black eyes.
COMPATIBILITY:
Will not be compatible with any other face-replacing mods unless these textures overwrite the ones from the conflicting mod, and even then I can't guarantee the faces won't look weird unless you have Westly's mod. In Mod Organizer 2, you can place textures below things easily on the lefthand panel and they will overwrite things from other mods, but I can't guarantee any other method will work if the textures are overwritten by ones called to by an .esp, so just use MO2 already, you silly goose.
Anyways aside from that it should be compatible with everything. It's just textures, anyway, your game will not get Fucked Up and nothing bad will happen even if there is an incompatibility, there just might be an undesirable appearance to some already undesirable-looking short-ass cannibalistic weirdos.
INSTALLATION:
Just use MO2, likes I tolds yas. If you really don't wanna, use something else, do it manually by unzipping and dragging and dropping in your Morrowind directory, or whatever, but whatevs ya dos, makes sures it overwrites the textures from Westly's mod, otherwise all you're doing by downloading this is boosting the unique downloads amount. Which I appreciate and will forever be grateful to your anonymous ass for.

DISCLAIMER:
I am not a modder. I am a writer, actor, teacher, graphic designer, podcaster, DnD gamemaster, nerd, and boaster (of many hats, of House Raven or some shit, First of His Name, Lord of the Fireravens and Mother of Dragons and some shit or something and Bearer of Way Too Many Fuckin Titles). All I did was take some brown and black brushes in GIMP and paint over the existing eyes. Some eyes had especially vibrant irises, and those have been preserved in a small way, by their color being toned down and darkened (so it doesn't look really weird and the Bosmers don't just have black sclera and bright pink irises. and yes sclera is a word, and no, it's not dirty. it's the white of the eye. Science, bitch!) Mipmaps have been regenerated and the textures have been compressed using Ordenador, and they have been tested in game. Everything should work perfectly, but in the event it doesn't, let me know, and as long as it's not a problem with Westly's original mod (for which there are fixes on the Nexus or links to in several guides--notably some small mesh problems and broken animations on mouths, none of which affect Wood Elves, I don't think), I will reupload with fixed textures. All glow maps for vampires should work, everything should be fine.

1.1, 5/30/2021 - Release. fixed the depressed guy (wish it was that easy in real life, zing!) Will do almost certainly nothing else; no further releases. I just made a changelog because It's What People Do and Apparently I'm A Little Bitch Who Falls Prey To Peer Pressure And Likes To Fit In.
