Would it be possible to get an update to add in the option for a custom keybind. Would prefer to have Mantle and Jump separate buttons so I am not trying to Mantle every time I jump.
Seconded, the mod works wonderfully but it overrides jumping far too often. Having a toggle option would be great as well, allowing you to enter climbing mode whenever you need it and then exiting when you don't.
Seems to lag in enviroments that are not within vvardenfall. Interiors such as Secrets of crystal city and tamriel rebuilt. Amazing mod though hopefully will see an update :)
however, for some reason this mod causes severe lag when jumping in first person in Roa Dyr (from tamriel rebuilt) specifically. It's not gamebreaking, but if anybody knows why this happens i would be fascinated to know.
I don't think this mod is working fully anymore--the 'climbing' no longer gains exp, and after a ton of digging, I think I know why; Skills Module had an update that depreciated how skills were called in functions. They say that the new update is back compatible, but it looks like they may have missed some stuff. All and all, it looks like a pretty easy fix for someone more familiar with the mod's scripts, so update soon?
I love the concept of this mod, but I'm on the fence about whether or not to use it in my game. The issue for me, is that it fits too well -- specifically, climbing feels like it absolutely should have been part of the vanilla skill of Acrobatics.
Would that be possible? Using the same climbing mechanics, but tying it to Acrobatics instead of a standalone custom skill through the Skills Module? I mean, jumping is fun and all, but I love the idea of leveling up acrobatics with more than just bouncing around. Plus it'd tie in to the many mods that emphasize Skyrim-like verticality.
The only other change, if you added climbing to Acrobatics, would be to reduce the XP gain from jumping & falling, to ensure that Acrobatics would see a similar rate of skill advancement overall.
The best climbing mod around! Intuitive and very useful! Though I wish it was implemented a bit better and your skill in climbing had more of an effect - right now someone with a skill of 5 can climb pretty much anything no problems - perhaps every attempt at climbing has a dice roll and a fail results in them falling over?
Or do something similar as the skill of Acrobatics and let high-level Climbing affect how high your character can reach, and how fast they can ascend once climbing. A climbing skill of 5 should only be able to climb things that are reasonably close the ground, and would climb them very slowly, compared to the 'ascend Red Mountain like it's a beginner's climbing wall' of skill 100.
Hi sorry, is there a way to change the attribute of the skill? i tried going to the main.lua and at the bottom change from "tes3.attribute.strength" to "tes3.attribute.speed" but the in-game skill description still says "governing attribute : strength", so im unsure if its actually working

It works without any issues, and really give a way for a non-magical character to explore the world!
Also, i didn't had any issues with lagging in Tamriel Rebuilt
