New version under the 31-character limit is up. "Of" was removed (RIP my mod name) and quality indicators were reduced to Roman numerals, all to fit under the limit, so now instead of "Potion of Restore Magicka, Normal," it'll be "Potion, Restore Magicka III." Hope it's to someone's liking. Before you pull a Dunmer on me and throw me an idle line saying "Do I care?" know that the previous hosted version here had several potion names over the 31-character limit, and these will be weird in game, as I've been informed. So get downloading! Or don't. Again, it's your call and I don't really care. I'm mostly here to crack jokes and interact with the community. Or kick ass and chew bubblegum. Or chew ass and kick bubblegum. And I'm all out of . . . community. Or something. I screwed up the joke, didn't I pa?
tsk tsk. Babby's first mod--wasn't even a mod, just a text edit of the config file of someone else's mod--and the Morrowind item name character limit babby knew nothing about screws him over. Don't download this folks. Lmao. Not til further notice.
Item names can't be longer than 31 characters, and some of these are longer than that so it messes itself. Vanilla deals with this by changing the format as needed. "Bargain Potion of Fortify Speed" is okay, but "Bargain Potion of Fortify Strength" is too long, so it's just "Bargain Fortify Strength". BTB's scheme avoids this problem.
Maybe you could replace the quality terms with numbers, 1-5? Or Roman numerals I-V? Hopefully that would get everything under the limit again.
Also the "Heroism Potion" was actually "Potion of Heroism" in vanilla. BTB changed it for better sorting with his scheme, but in your case you might want to just remove it from the table so it uses the vanilla name, which would fit better.
BTW, you say players can use your old file if they want, but the old file basically doesn't work at all. The code goes through the table in order from top to bottom, and as soon as it gets to one where the name's too long (which is pretty close to the top), it just nopes out and doesn't do the rest.
Also, your mod description is as funny as some of BTB's readmes.
Ah, I see. I hadn't tested it out so I assumed it would work, just the long names would be funky/get cut off. I'll probably take down the old files then. And thank you :)
Bit disappointed. I was expecting an actual potion that would make LUA mods work with Open MW!
PS after reading your description and to find that one of your many traits is teaching..... I'm certainly of the opinion that either your students find you to be quite hilarious or leave your classes mentally scarred for life!

I'm surprised, is there nothing that raises that character cap? MCP or something else?
Looks like this "mod" might actually be seeing a second release lmao
