
The main principle of the Combo Art:
Change the direction of your attacks to maintain some of the momentum of the previous attack and speed up the next attack.
If you make many of the same attacks in a row, then you will not get any advantage. There is neither beauty nor interest in this. Instead, try to tie all of your attacks into nice, long lasting combos.
Combos come in two flavors: simple and perfect. Simple combos are a combination of two attacks, the types of which are poorly compatible. You will get a slight boost by doing these combos.
Perfect combos are a combination of perfectly compatible attacks. You will get a huge boost by completing them. A list of them is given below.
Two-handed weapon:
Double swing
Slash swing + stand or diagonally move = Chop attack
Piercing execution
Thrust swing + stand or diagonally move = Chop attack
Reaping strike
Thrust swing + strafe move = Slash attack
Death cross
Reaping strike + Double swing = Thrust attack + Slash attack + Chop attack
One-handed weapon:
Wheel
Chop swing + strafe move = Slash attack
Scissors
Thrust swing + strafe move = Slash attack
Feint
Thrust swing + stand or diagonally move = Chop attack
Death pendulum
Feint + Wheel = Thrust attack + Chop attack + Slash attack
Hand-to-hand:
One-Two!
Chop swing + stand or forward/backward move = Left punch
Hook
Chop swing + strafe move = Right punch
Smash
Thrust swing + strafe move = Right punch
Uppercut
Slash swing + forward/backward move = Left punch
