    It seems like the mod is incompatible with MCAR (for female characters, no issues for males). This mod's xbase_anim_female.1st.kf and xbase_anim_female.1st.kf files override their casting animations from MCAR. Do you have any plan to make this compatible with it? I'm okay with it either way, just wondering.

      try to make these 2 files yourself with these names by copying and renaming similar files from MCAR
      (xbase_anim.1st.kf --> xbase_anim_female.1st.kf)

    Thanks for making this mod Archimag :)

    I've been dual wielding for a while with no issues but since I updated MGE XE and MWSE (latest nightly version with LUA support - the standard MWSE doesn't have LUA support) deactivating Dual Wield, or changing the Dual Wield weapons, causes a crash to desktop. Other LUA mods are working fine, other Archimag mods (Battlemage, Fast attack, Fast cast, Magicstrom, Bomberman, N'wah shooter, Grip of Death) are still working fine from my testing too. Is anyone else having the same issue? I've probably done something wrong but I can't see what it is other than updating.

      most likely some incompatible animation mod is installed

      Wow, thank you for a quick reply. I hadn't looked into animations causing crashes and that may be it. Maybe there's an incompatibility with https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/44523 (animation replacer that reduces the size of clipping boxes).

      I removed the animations from https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/44523 but it's still crashing when deactivating dual wield or changing the weapons for dual wield (works fine when activating). The MWSE.log is identical to the one I shared above. I'll keep looking at animations from older mods and see what is causing the issue.

      Edit: The base_anim_female.1st.nif in the MWSE log is the vanilla one from morrowind.bsa (not a loose file).

      Thank you for investigating, the only things I thought I had changed were MGE XE and MWSE to the latest version. But as the crash to desktop only happens when I turn off dual wielding mode, it's possible the issue has been there for a while and I've only just noticed (I tend to keep using the same good weapons). I was able to replicate the issue with new games - activating dual wielding works fine, deactivating dual wield = crash. No one else is having issues with the new MGE XE or MWSE so it must be some other mod or LUA mod I have running that doesn't like the player going from dual wielding back to the normal animation. I'll do further testing by disabling each mod 1 by 1 until I find out what causes the crash. Thank you for your help. Keep up the awesome mod making :)

      Thankyou for that. I tested it out now (replaced the main.lua at Morrowind\Data Files\MWSE\mods\Double Chim\ with the test one ) but same issue (crash when dual wield deactivated). I even tried changing the key bindings but same issue. Below is the new mwse.log

      Don't spend more time on my issue though as very likely something on my side. I'll keep testing the other mods I'm running and report back if I can figure it out. I believe you were correct and it's something about female player animations.

      Thank you so much! The new version is working fine. I also tested with your other mods in play, changing 2 handed weapons to 1 handed and activating dual wield then deactivating - no crashes. I didn't expect player gender to make a mod crash so I was looking in all the wrong directions for the cause.

    What MWSE version is compatible with this? I'm using the version posted on Nexus and the Double Wield button doesn't work, it remembers the weapon for the left hand though.

    Is this mod acting up for anyone since updating MWSE? I am using the most recent version alongside the animation replacer and previously it was showing both weapons in 1st person and alternating them on attacks but now I only see 1 weapon in 1st person (which still switches, but without playing the special animations, instead just playing the normal animation sped up.)

    This mod's 1st person animation conflicts with the Animation Compilation mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/43982). Can you make an animation file that is compatible with it as well? I really love to see both mods' animations together.

      Edit: Can confirm this now works with anim replacer, even with Grip of Death so you can finally dual-wield one-handed spears that actually level the spear skill. What has science done?!
