I don't think MR changes the shipwrecks' interiors, so probably.

So I am a little confused does this mod move the items? or is which treasure map you get random?

Treasure maps are hand-placed in shipwrecks and lead you to vanilla artifacts.
The artifacts are not moved or modified at all.

      Hope this helps!

Good one for the mentor ring, although this one is probably the most famous item a starting player can get without any quest !
And I hope all this crowd of slaughter fishes + a dreugh are leveled, because a low level character wouldn't have survived here !

    The mod is fun.
I enjoyed looking for all the wrecks, finding the maps and questing for the treasures.
But...with as little spoilage as possible.

    Excerpted from mod's description:
"Uncharted Artifacts gives you a fun way to find the unique items & artifacts in vanilla Morrowind that are NOT* related to ANY* quests." ( * author's emphasis)
    Not an accurate description.

    I'll list three examples:
You might find a treasure because one faction sent you kill a certain NPC who has that treasure in their inventory.
One treasure is a Daedric Dai-katana. A rare item but not an artifact or unique.
Other treasures are hard to miss, even if you do only rudimentary exploration of locations that quests send you to.

Not to put too fine a point on it but saying a treasure is not related to a quest because it wasn't the direct subject of the quest is disingenuous.
I've pointed out the discrepancies between the mod's description and it's reality here twice before and suggested a couple of solutions to this that involve simple changes to the mod's description.
But the mod's author didn't handle criticism of or suggestions for a better description very well.

Both times my posts were deleted.

You can delete this post too but I'll post here again.

To anybody who reads this, play the mod.
    It is fun.
Like I said at the start of this post finding the wrecks and treasure is enjoyable.

Yes the mod is very well done, the drawing of the maps, I even installed a daedric translation book to be able to check what's written on them ! It makes you think it could be useful to be able to annotate these maps !

But the comment is right, my 1st map was on the shipwreck directly south of balmora, at the end of the foyda after the mine. It points to the dagger of judgement, which is not really an artifact, it chitin dagger with a unique enchantment though. But it's in the tomb you are sent to to retrive the nerano skull, so even if usually I don't take this dagger while doing this quest, you can't really say there is no quest to go there !

The idea is very good though, it's true there is really a ton of artifacts in morrowind, and real ones, not like the vanilla skyrim artifacts, and it's very hard to find them all ! Endorsed.

The idea for that first map, in the first wreck leading to one of the first dungeons, is really to be a tutorial: most players will head to the shipwreck for Seyda Neen and even at level 1, they will be able to find the dagger.
Other maps are much further from their dungeons.

I just found the one for "Fury', I love the y in daedric... ! The boat on the road to the urshikaku tribe if you follow the directions given by the scoot in maar gan. The map makes you think it's just south east from Valenvaryon, before succeeding to translate the daedric text at the bottom of the map : kogoruhn !
Well it's very similar to the case of the chitin dagger of the 1st map here : here again we go there for the main quest, and here again usually I look at this sword as an interesting curiosity because of its unique enchantment, but it's more a curiosity than a real artifact. Plus usually when you do this quest you have gone to tel fyr and if you plundered the dungeons then you have some much better equipment than that...

Someone said it was incompatible with RR ships and boats? Is it still? I guess I will find out. I downloaded it. The mod sounds really fun.

      No problem!
I love the idea of randomized treasures working with this mod. after all... wasn't treasure HUNTING always the end goal. ;-)

This patch also adds 8 new Solstheim maps... so that's fun as well.

Is this compatible with 'The Morrowind Randomizer'?

Technically, neither mod breaks the other, but a few artifacts overlap.
      - Randomaziser switches some of the artifacts around
      - this mod gives you  a map to many artifacts' original location

The randommizer doesn't cover as many or exactly the same artifacts though, so if you are willing to role-play that a few maps are not accurate, or that another treasure-hunter beat you to the punch, you can use them together.
