Habasi doesn't take decorative plates from me. I've stolen them and have all 8 in my inventory when talking to her, but she keeps telling me, where Eight Plates is located. Playing on OpemMW.

I had this problem as well. I'm playing with the OpenMW Total-Overhaul modlist. Seems there was a BCoM patch that added this quest in, but did not actually include the mod that added the patch so things got broken. What I did to fix this was install this mod (OpenMW esp), then used the console command:journal luce_esep_tg_plates 20

After that, I still could not raise my rank in the Thieves guild to Captain, but this was fixed with:
      PCRaiseRank "Thieves Guild"

      Hopefully this helps you out!

It's a pretty atmospheric rework of Eight Plates. And it's a pity that the patch for OpenMW not only removes the animation of sitting NPCs, but also the funny animation of a drunk guy in armor.

I'm getting floating NPCs in Eight Plates. The lute guy and most of the animated NPCs that are otherwise sitting are now floating a good meter in the air. Is this a glitch related to this mod, or something else?

Edit: I tried the patch but I've already entered the building on my main save. The patch moved people around, but the lute guy's still floating, the smoking guy's in the floor, and one of the talking people are also in the floor. Another sitting guy's still hovering by about a foot. I tried reinstalling the mod and its patches, didn't work.

The animations don't work particularly well on OpenMW. The openmw patch is a version of the esp that removes the animations from the NPCs, but it won't work if you've already entered that cell on your current save. When you start a new game they should be standing on the ground like normal people.

It doesn't seem to remove all the animations. This guy is still sitting in mid-air.

The drunk guy stumbling around is really what makes this mod superb to me. I love that!

Excellent mod, now it truly feels like a inn.
I'm on vanilla engine and I'm getting animated npcs floating over the stools - could this be caused by some mesh replacer I'm using? I wonder if there's a way to make stools intangible and if this would fix this problem.

Late response, but no - the placement was bad on my part. They should no longer be floating in current (1.4+) versions.

Minecraftplayer1796 is right, that sounds like an issue with forgetting to register the bsas - probably Tamriel Data.

OpenMW has a guide for how to register bsas here: https://modding-openmw.com/tips/register-bsas/

Hopefully you guys got it sorted out in the end since you posted a while ago, but leaving this here for the future reference of anyone with the same issue

OpenMW does need to register the BSAs. For example, my openmw.cfg file has the following lines in it:

      fallback-archive=Morrowind.bsa
      fallback-archive=Tribunal.bsa
      fallback-archive=Bloodmoon.bsa
      fallback-archive=TR_Data.bsa
      fallback-archive=Sky_Data.bsa
      fallback-archive=PC_Data.bsa

Also, I'd like to add that the replacer for morag tong polished has an old bug (fixed in a recent version of morag tong polished) that incorrectly sets the gauntlets' model to wrist instead of hands as body parts, causing the hands to disappear.
Easily fixed changing the model of the armor from wrist to hands in the CS (or - more simply - just make a new replacer by moving Severus Edfiv's two istances inside the building in the latest version of morag tong polished).

hello im doing a brand new game and using MO2 to load this mod, I installed the core mod and the patches, but something in MO2 is telling me that another mod plugin from "beautiful cities of morrowind" the plugins is incompatible with "even seedier eight plates" plugins ESP
which is weird cause i don't see the plugins in MO2

i rechecked the patch for BCOM but there's no patch about even seedier eight plates
    https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/49231?tab=description

will the mod conflict in a bad way? the even seedier eight plate only changes the interior right?

PS: first time playing morrowind as well, i have little experience on modding this game engine on openMW,

      Hi Xenvaleek!

They conflict because BCOM includes my mod. So you don't need to install this, just use BCOM :)

Good luck with your game and have fun! If you run into any issues, you can ask for troubleshooting help on the Morrowind Modding Discord

That would be the safest way to do it, yeah. Normally you could just uninstall this mod, but I think BCOM has updated animation files for some of the characters, so you should reinstall it to make sure you have the latest versions of those files.

iv tried everything but for some reason theres a floating chest on the 2nd floor, the guitar guy is sitting there floating and a few npcs are either stuck in the wall or in an object.

While using OpenMW most of the seated people are off their seats. I tried the patch you put here for this exact reason and honestly it actually made it worse!

Edit: I realized you had placed those two that way intentionally

Its strange too because you added that patch just 16 days ago. I do also over 300 mods though. LOL - But I am quite careful about what I install and play testing it.

No, you're right, apparently the patch doesn't work as intended in its current state - I don't use OpenMW so I was kinda just hoping for the best with it.

Sometime I will install OpenMW and try to test a full fix (probably involves moving NPCs around to fit the tweaked anims Vidi_Aquam provided for the patch), but I don't know when I'll be able to do that. Sorry for the inconvenience.
