Hi, I tweaked your ESP for OpenMW so animals have a better chance at hitting you and extending support to other mods. I will post it soon and give you credit, if this bothers you let me know. Thank you for the idea.
My apologises, is it safe to deactivate this mod in middle-game? Will all the parameters be reset to their vanilla values? I may have encountered an issue and I'd like to do some testing with and without the mod.
can you do this for creatures without weapons too please? Or is there a mod for this already, animals often claw, bite, flail etc at you and hit you with air.
Hi I have noticed that fCombatDistance decreased range decrease was too much as some creatures struggle hitting their target. The Cliffers can't rich the player in some cases and my summoned Winged Twilight goes attack loop animation and can't hit the kitting enemy archer. I guess increasing this parameter a tiny bit would fix the issue.
The daikatana's animation seems to still extend far beyond the range of the weapon, and the only real impactful difference I notice is the gimping of daggers and clubs, Probably just a limitation of the game, though. I'm sure the mod actually does what it says.. it's just that the animations and hit boxes don't correlate well, and leads to the gameplay not changing much regardless of the range factor of weapons.
I've edited the records one by one - OpenMW-CS doesn't support partial matches (so no search by model) nor changing multiple records, and figuring out how to do batch edit would be slower than just bruteforcing through.

GMST setting will halve their range, which means it should be close to real, but all other adjustments were on per weapon basis.
You could use values in description if you're up for some manual tweaking though.
