When looking at the Armorer skill description the other day, I noticed that it started with the nonsense "Armorer skill is used..." I then realized many skill descriptions are missing that starting "the," and set out to change them. What I discovered, however, was far worse than I could have ever imagined. It was very clear that these skill descriptions were written by like 7 different people, who didn't even try to check each other's work. Not to mention the multiple skills described as an "art," enchanted weapons said to "burn" charge, blocking said to "remove" damage, and other such drivel. This plugin is the results of my labors. Many descriptions are standardized--for example, all schools of magic follow the Alteration line about "students of the College." The beginning "the" I mentioned is added everywhere it needs to be. The "soft" skills, like Sneak, now consistently speak of "helping" (or some synonym) you perform an action, instead of the skill descriptions being all over the place on what these skill numbers represent (my favourite being the claim that your Alchemy skill itself identifies ingredients' properties). And so on and so forth.
The full list of changes can be found in the ReadMe. This is not a changelog, per se, but actually just the Skills output from the CS--so don't be put off by the formatting, and don't expect any sort of side-by-side comparison. To make such a comparison, however, would actually be quite simple: just make another output file from a blank plugin.
Compatibility-wise, this plugin touches every skill in the game. However, it (should) only edit descriptions, so use tes3merge (https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/46870) or something like it to sidestep any issues.
Finally, if you have any ideas for improvement, typo correction, etc., please let me know in the comments section. Also, if this type of mod exists already, feel free to let me know; I'd love to compare descriptions.
