Heads up, the normal maps appear to be misnamed, overwriting the diffuse textures. And also missing @NB_tx_wood_brown_box_01_n.dds for the TR textures.
I created two HD textures (2048 x 4096): tr_wood_longcrate_01.dds tr_wood_longcrate_02.dds
for use with Tamriel Rebuilt (and possibly other mods that use Tamriel Data). The above textures are used by TR_Data?/meshes/?tr?/?o/tr_cont_crate_l_01.nif? - this is a long version of the regular cubic crate. The crate short ends are already textured by This is crate, my files add the long sides.
furn_crate_open_01.nif has two trishapes using the same texture, they could've been merged to save a drawcall.
Patches are a bit unintuitive since both TR and Rebirth patch have texture copies, so if you will install them after HD version they will overwrite it with lower quality textures.

If you do normal maps, note that for OpenMW you'll just need to supply a *_n.dds (normal map) and/or *_nh.dds (height map) file. Users will have to add the following in settings.cfg:
[Shaders] auto use object normal maps = true auto use terrain normal maps = true Note: the last entry might be unnecessary.
I'm less familiar with original Morrowind, I think that the graphic extender mods for it, can do the same thing. Some older mods put references to bumpmap files directly into the mesh, this causes some issues with OpenMW which seems to treat it as just another texture. If you embedded bumpmaps also include a bumpmap free version of the mesh.
