Morrowind Revalued aims to make more consistent and useful sense of the following data :
a. Armour ratings
b. Item \ enchantment gold values
c. Item weights
d. Item durability
e. Item enchant values
f. Item naming scheme
g. Weapon melee attack range (OpenMW only)
h. Weapon damage
i. Missle projectile speed
j. Enchantments
Example comparisons between Morrowind Vanilla and Morrowind Revalued :
a. In Vanilla dreugh armour rating = 40 and ice armour rating = 50, in Revalued dreugh armour rating = 25. The reasoning behind the dreugh armour change comes from looking at dreugh weapons which appear to be slightly weaker than dwarven weapons, so it made sense to make dwarven armour stronger than dreugh. I changed dwarven armour rating to 30, the vanilla dwarven armour rating of 20 (same as Duke's Guard Silver Cuirass) did not make much sense. Also, in Revalued medium armour now progresses to a peak of 70 armour rating. I changed ice armour rating to 70 because stalhrim is suppose to be one of the strongest materials and the vanilla armour rating of 50 was somewhat lacking (Royal Guard Armour already occupied around 50 armour rating).
b. In Vanilla Airan-Ahhe's Spirit Spear has a gold value of 13, the same gold value as the base chitin spear, even though Airan-Ahhe's Spirit Spear has positive enchantments, it is not any more valuable than the base chitin spear. This is not the case with Revalued, every item with a positive enchantment will always be worth more than the same item without any enchantment (Airan-Ahhe's Chitin Spear = 9094 gold). There are other examples of this poor gold valuation in Vanilla, like Ane Teria's Mace being worth only 360 gold (same as dwarven mace without enchantment), Revalued Ane Teria's Dwarven Mace = 7402 gold.
