==============================================
1. REQUIREMENTS:
==============================================

This mod has the following requirements :

*Tribunal
*Bloodmoon
*OpenMW

OpenMW can be downloaded at https://openmw.org/en/

===============================================
2. WHAT THIS MOD DOES:
===============================================

This mod aims to make more consistent and useful sense of the following data :

a. Armour ratings
b. Item \ enchantment gold values
c. Item weights
d. Item durability
e. Item enchant values
f. Item naming scheme
g. Weapon melee attack range (OpenMW only)
h. Weapon damage
i. Missle projectile speed
j. Enchantments

a. Armour Ratings have been changed to be more unique and progressive :
Please open the 'Other stats' text file to see more details.

Tower shields have a greater AR vs standard shields (same material type)
Gauntlets now have a greater AR vs bracers (same material type)

b. Base item gold values have been recalculated where necessary to be more consistent.
For instance, a Adamantium Cuirass is now worth 18,500 gold and a Nordic Mail Cuirass is now worth 6,500 gold.

Enchanted items will now have a gold value greater than the base item without any enchantment.
Enchanted item gold values have changed relative to the strength of the enchantment e.g. 5pts of fire resist is worth more than 1pt of fire resist.

c. Item weights have been recalculated where necessary to be more consistent.
In order to achieve this I had to adjust the Heaviest Light Armour, Lightest Medium Armour, Heaviest Medium Armour and Lightest Heavy Armour values.

For instance, a Glass Bracer now has a weight of 3.6 and Glass Boots now have a weight of 11.4.
Please see the 'Other stats' text file for more details.

d. Item durability has been changed to be consistent with the strength of an item.
For instance, the greater the AR of a item the higher the durability will be, the only exception to this rule being Glass.
Silver weapons have been given a increase in durability, this makes silver weapons consistent with silver armour having a greater durability vs steel.

e. Enchant points for all enchantable items have been changed to better reflect the amount of material to enchant.
The only exception to this rule are Staffs which have a large bonus to enchant.
In Vanilla Morrowind iron gauntlet left had 25 enchant points and iron gauntlet right had 10 enchant points.
In Morrowind Revalued iron gauntlets left and right now have 84 enchant points each.

Please see the 'Other stats' text file for more details on armour enchant values (navigate towards the bottom).
Please see the 'Weapon stats' text file for more details on weapon enchant values.

f. Item names have been changed to be consistent for easier reading in game.
For example, the Banhammer will now read as 'Iron Warhammer of Ban' and all dire flame enchants will read as 'of dire flame', etc.
Items that have an owner are still named as belonging to that character, e.g. Aryon's Glove Right of Summoning.

g. Melee weapons have had their attack range reduced to reflect the actual physical length of the weapon in game.
No longer can a weapon strike with 4 feet of air between the weapon and the target, if a NPC wishes to attack you they will need to be close enough
for their weapon to physically reach you.

Please see the 'Weapon stats' text file for more details, you can find the new weapon ranges at the top.

h. Many weapons have had their damage changed.
Axes have the best chop damage, swords have the best slash damage, maces are equally good at slash and chop and spears have the best thrust damage.

Two-handed weapons now have greater damage over one-handed weapons.
Please see the 'Weapon stats' text file for more details.

i. Missle projectile speeds have been increased for throwing weapons, arrows, bolts, darts and magic spells.

*Thrown weapons = 1.45 speed
*Arrows = 1.6 speed
*Bolts = 1.75 speed
*Magic spells = 1.5 speed

The increase in projectile speed makes it easier to hit distant targets while also making it harder to outrun missles.

j. Enchants have been changed in various places to make items feel more unique and recognisable.
For instance, dire flame will always do 5 to 11 fire damage.
Another example, cruel frostarrow is it's own unique enchantment dealing 2 frost damage over 8 seconds.
Another example, the Iron Warhammer of Ban (ban hammer) no longer does the usual 1 to 4 flame damage found on many other items.
There are many more enchantment changes in Morrowind Revalued waiting to be discovered.

3. INSTALLATION:
===============================================

Extract Morrowind Revalued v1.0.0.esp to the Morrowind\Data Files\ directory.
Open openmw-launcher.exe, select the Data Files icon and check Morrowind Revalued v1.0.0.esp

*not essential* This mod can be mashed using Wyre Mash. The generated mash esp file can then be checked in the Data Files GUI.

===============================================
4. KNOWN ISSUES:
===============================================

This mod will have issues with other armour \ weapons mods.
The different thresholds for light, medium and heavy armour in Morrowind Revauled can change armour classification in other mods (i.e. what was one once medium armour becomes light armour).
Many other mods use Morrowind's vanilla weapon ranges (6ft +) which does not mix well with Morrowind Revalued.

===============================================
5. INCOMPATIBILITIES:
===============================================

This mod is for use with OpenMW and will not work correctly with Vanilla Morrowind.
This mod is not workable with TESTool (TESTool will truncate the text and reset weapon ranges). Please use enchanted editor instead.

===============================================
6. RESOURCE USAGE:
===============================================

If you wish to use part of Morrowind Revalued in your own mod then please credit Morrowind Revalued where it has been used.
