This is a translation of this mod which is the best Ebonheart overhaul out there by a long shot.

Little discussion about Ebonheart and why I think this is the best overahul

Reworking Ebonheart has been a thought of mine for a long time, but I simply wasn't sure what to do with it.
I really liked what Rebirth does to Ebonheart so one of the ideas was to simply cut Ebonheart out of Rebirth and release it as a standalone.
Some discussions in the Morrowind Modding Discord opened my eyes on an relevant detail though: from a lore prospective, Ebonheart is indeed not supposed to be a town, but simply a castle. If they had gone with a better naming, like "Castle Ebonheart" the confusion probably would have never even arised.


So, mods that turn Ebonheart into a town are simply nonsensical, lore-wise.

If you're interested, here's the source of the information about Ebonheart being simply a castle and not a town.

So what's there to improve or fix in Ebonheart?

Only one thing

If it's true that Ebonheart is not supposed to be a town, I think adding at least some buildings would make the place more belivable, as at least some traders or nobles should have their own house.

But this would have to be done by expanding the original design, keeping the new buildings inside the fort walls, which would in turn also make the entire place bigger.

And, to my surpirse, I was scrolling through Fullrest when I found a mod that does exactly that!
Since it was only in Russian I decided to translate it so everyone can enjoy it!
The screenshots don't really do justice to the mod. The new buildings have been placed really well, creating some tight alleys which give the illusion of a much bigger space.
This also serves almost as a "fix" since there were indeed some nobles in the streets of Ebonheart without a house of their own:)

WHY ALL THESE ESP IF IT'S JUST A TRANSLATION?
There are 4 versions you can choose from:

- Original: the original mod, simply transalted (you can use either Izi cities -  Ebonheart OR Izi cities -  Ebonheart_TR Statue if you also want the small change of this mod - remember to only activate ONE ESP).
- Tweaked: I replaced the player home added by the mod with an East Empire Wharehouse. Player homes feel a bit moddy to me so I went with something that would blend perfectly with vanilla (as with the original version, you have the option to get the TR dragon statue).

Also, I made patches for

- Dockside Clutter
- Abot's gondoliers
- Remiros groundcover
- Aesthesia groundocver

The two grass mods have 2 versions: a base one and one for those using my Suran mod since both Suran and Ebonheart are in the Ascadian Islands.
Only activate one, not both or you'll get double grass!
