   Going to test this out on a save mid-way through. Will say if it works or not as I'm in both fighters/redoran :)
   
   EDIT: Can confirm it works wonderfully. Skill added to the description of both factions in the character menu, and levelling my Spear to 50 allowed me to be promoted in Fighters Guild.
