1. DESCRIPTION
--------------------------

Trancemaster reworked the Red Mountain for his megamod, Morrowind Rebirth, to make it look more like the volcano it's supposed to be. It's beautiful work, but Morrowind Rebirth is a massive mod to commit to with tons of changes to the game world that makes it incompatible with most mods not designed specifically with Rebirth in mind. I have always been jealous of Trancemaster's beautiful rendition of the mountain, so... I've kidnapped it.

Red Mountain Reborn is Trancemaster's Red Mountain but I cut along the dotted line and stitched it into the vanilla landscape. The landscape edits are restricted only to the Red Mountain region and the bordering Ashlands region cells. It was tedious work making the landscape and shading flow right and I am *not* a particularly incredible exterior editor, but I'm hoping I got everything up to a standard that does Trancemaster's work justice. It was really incredible for him to give me permission to do this and the whole time I was toiling away stitching and painting, I was also excited to get this done to give to all of you.

I have included two patches with the initial release of this mod...

Darknut's Greater Dwemer Ruins v1.2.1. This is a patch hand-made by me, it was just easier for me to do that than to try and make Darknut's Rebirth patch work. I have tested all of the doors to make sure things line up right and so far as I can tell it's all good. I don't play Morrowind without GDR.
**PLEASE NOTE** A patch for DNGDR v1.2 is also available as an alternative file on the Red Mountain Reborn Nexus page. If you use 1.2 and not 1.2.1, use that instead.

Resdayn Revival Team's Ghostgate Fortress. Everything is in-tact. I only patched the English .esp. I would be more than willing to include the russian version with this archive if one was produced, but I'm not handy with dialog editing and doing the tedious work to make a second patch was just too overwhelming for me. Please forgive me.

2. Installation
--------------------------

This is a BAIN archive. Your mod manager of choice should automatically recognize it's a BAIN archive and know what to do with it. I prefer Wrye Mash. In your organizer, just check off the options you want - 00 for the main mod (makes no sense to not install this), 01 for the GDR patch, and 02 for the RR Ghostgate patch.

If you want to install this manually, you would just extract the files in each of the sub-directories to your Data Files folder for each of the options you want. Again, for the main mod all you have to do is extract the "00 - Red Mountain Reborn" folder into your Data Files folder and it all follows the same for the patch options.

*******GDR NOTE: You need the original Darknut's Greater Dwemer Ruins version 1.2.1 mod for the patch to work. Install that mod first and then let the .esp from this mod replace the one from that mod. Any patches that target DN-GDRv1.2.1.esp should absolutely work on this new .esp but I struggle to think of any you'd want to use along with RMR.

*******RR GHOSTGATE NOTE: You need the original RR Ghostgate Fortress files for the patch to work. Install that mod first and then let the .esp from this mod replace the one from that mod. The Julan Ashlander Companion patch should still work if you're using Julan.

3. Uninstallation
--------------------------

Uninstalling Red Mountain Reborn is no more involved than most other Morrowind mods. If you decide you'd like to be rid of its meshes and textures, consult this archive for the files you need to delete, and make sure to uncheck "RedMountainReborn.esp" in the Morrowind Launcher. You could also delete the .esm, deleting it without unchecking it won't hurt. The same goes for the patched .esps if you chose to use them.

Trancemaster, thank you very much for letting me adapt your Red Mountain. It was awesome reaching out to you and finding the same awesome person I remember from 8+ years ago. Your contributions to the community continue to be awe-inspiring.

Darknut. Darknut. Darknut. Darknut. Darknut. Darknut.

Resdayn Revival Team. I wish I could find a full list of all of you, but I do know it's a list of legendary modders in their own rights.

Atrayonis, thanks for putting me on the right track for creating patches.

RandomPal, thanks for answering my questions about Julan.

eddie5, thanks for reading an error message for me because I can't read.

Manfred, I really appreciate you being my guinea pig testing stuff as well as pointing that I needed to patch DNGDR 1.2.1 - I almost released this with only 1.2.0 support.

...and a very special thanks to...
Teknobozo, Anathemata, Lusit, Robbie, Alpharius, Trainwiz, Wizbro, Wey, Snakestone, Guardly, Peachykeen, Cathartis, Papill6n, Thrignar Fraxix, Haplo, DragonGeo2, Scamp, Why, Nemon & Wollibeebee for your chats, your input, and your opinions. Whether you realize it or not, you've each had an impact on what I have been working toward.

Everyone from the late, great Bethsoft Forums, the Morrowind Modding Community Discord, /v/, /tesg/, /tg/, Reddit, & Something Awful who have always had encouraging words to share about the work I have done on TES games.

Lastly, thanks to Earth_Wyrm, who's README format I jack every single time I need to do one of these. :P
