It pairs perfectly with Throat Singing Temple Healers.
Small note, I've read in the comments that Beautiful Cities of Morrowind is incompatible with the minaret versions. I'm currently using the non-minaret version (05 Timetable) loaded after BCOM and the only issue I've noticed is that Fieri Sathendas in the Gnisis Temple doesn't read the sermons out loud, though he is placed correctly and reads a book. It doesn't seem to break anything or trigger any errors. The other temples work just fine, so I consider it quite inconsequential.
Love this mod. But I've encountered the double npc reading issue in the Gnisis temple that others have alluded to. I'm using the RandomTemplesOnly version on OpenMW 0.48. Looking at the scripts, it seems to trigger every three hours upon entering the cell -- and the two preachers will simultaneously launch into their own sermons. Leaving the cell and reentering it (or save/reload) seems to resolve it, but only temporarily.
The only permanent fix I've found is to remove the sound files for one of the preachers. Disabling removes the man but not the voice behind the man. Deleting breaks the script and the Gnisis temple lapses into silence. Curious if anyone has found a workaround (that allows for both preachers to play nice).
Great addition. However, when I use it with Lightweight Concept Art Gnisis I get missing mesh errors for the Gnisis Arch and for several objects at fort Darius.
The sermons only play in Balmora and Ald'ruhn. The NPCs are there though, but some don't hold any book. I'm gonna try messing with my load order and tell you. (I'm on OpenMW 0.49 nightly).
Edit : Still no voices in Gnisis and other temples (if preachers are supposed to be elsewhere). I have gnisis minaret and activated the right version (random preachers minarets + temples) without timetables. Edit 2 : Ok I read the readme carefully and i've got my answers ! It's not a bug, just read what each esp does exactly.
Seems like this isn't working with Rebirth... bad framerate and bad voice doubling. Just sticking with the interior temples version. Great work though!
I REALLY recommend this mod anyone. Simple yet so impactful. Temples will finally feel like temples should. The only problem I see, is that it might feel like you are hearing sermons "through walls" in temples, but I don't think author can do anything about it due to engine limitations.
I just found 2 problems: 1. if you are using Beautiful Cities of Morrowind mod all minaret versions are incompatible. You will end up with missing textures AND (at least) two minarets in Gnisis. While BOM's remake of Gnisis is the same as one options presented in this mod, they are in fact very different and are incompatible. 2. For some reason, sometimes when you enter a temple you will hear NPC read the Lessons twice at the same time. Quicksave + Quickload seems to fix it.
I really like this mod but I'm having some issues with it.... I hear many voices at once in most places and sometimes the voices will follow me all over morrowind for miles and won't stop... I have tried many combinations of using the .esp files 1 at a time.... any ideas on how to fix?
Nice concept and good effort, but as I started the video in the description and the voice said 36 lessons of Wai-vehk instead of Wee-vehk... I just can't. :D
Yeah, doomfunk is known for this little heresy, it was widely debated on YouTube) His preacher can be easily disabled though, three others are completely alright on that matter)
