Everytime I try to enchant a piece of this armor, enchantment fails and stone gets destroyed. Is this a bug? I mean, I've got 100 enchanting and a lot of Luck and Inteligence.
First of all, it's a excellent armor mod, very classy and made me replay through Morrowind !
Thing is, if you install Tamriel Rebuild textures and data, the Armor will have a totally different look and will look wayyy worse texture wise, not a huge deal, but it's there :D
yeah, I made this mod to be part of tamriel rebuilt but they weren't happy with the original textures and changed them to what you see, I don't know why but i heard they were gonna replace this armor with something else anyway.
Few things about this armour: Texture could be better, take a look at Symphony's texture for ebony, it looks pretty good. Also can be used, since the mod is a big resource pack You should make white parts thinner, like in the original art. Adding locking mechanisms on the armour will also be an improvement, as well as making crotch protection segmented.
symphony's textures look massively out of place in morrowind imo, having said that I don't disagree that the textures could be better, this armor is a collaboration with tr so i might be able to have someone make something better. I don't really understand what you mean by locking mechanisms and segmented crotch protection.
Some textures look good, some not. That mod is, in general, hit or miss in terms of design and texturing job. But I think that ebony looks good. Looking mechanisms is what allows to put armour on the body. Straps and hinges on greaves, for example. Morrowind sometimes has them, sometimes doesn't. Segmented protection is made from smaller pieces, instead of one solid piece. Look at Samurai crotch protection, for example.
there are straps on the back of the greaves and arms, but apparently in real life armor plates were sewn onto the cloth, (At least that's according to a dev in TR who designs armor). I'll have ago at testing out some alternate design choices at some point in the future.
They're not really sewn, but simply tied to a specific clothing used underneath (arming doublet, for example). Straps are also used sometimes. For european armour, you can check out videos called "Dressing in Steel". Or a youtube channel, called "Knyght Errant". They will give you a pretty good idea about how european armour works.
finally a worthy opponent our battle will be legendary, ps i think if you would make a separate file to make it a harder final boss fight like in skyrim would be cool
If you didn't know already, he's an NPC from Skyrim. Not really alot of story for him tho, in Skyrim he just acts as a final challenge. Nothing to him that's canon as of now
Not exactly, he's inspired by the guy from skyrim but they aren't the same person. My ebony warrior is a different character, it's up to you to infer who he really is from his dialogue.
Hi, I very like your take on Ateiggaer's concept art, the only things I would change are the closed helmet and white lines. The concept portraits it (helmet) as a bone like face mask, with a medium width visor, right under the hat like element. The rib cage is probably only for protection of the face - so the face mask in full would be more of a nod to European knighthood in opposite to the mostly Japanese influenced elements. Your design converts it into a oriental only helmet, don't get me wrong, it's not a bad thing, but it takes some uniqueness away from the armor and makes it look a bit too generic. The white lines however are a bit too apparent and should be made thinner and only surround the bigger elements. Overall it's fine looking iteration of a cool concept art. Keep it up! :)
Thanks. I worked very closely with Ateiggaer on this armor, he's the one designed the new closed helmet and we both decided we liked it more than the one in the original concept art., you can see all that stuff here: https://www.tamriel-rebuilt.org/asset/native-dunmer-ebony-armor
The white lines are chitin ornamentation and we decided it looked better thicker than thinner.

Welp, no Tamriel Rebuilt on this character, maybe with another one !

Thanks, i'll fix it right away.
Who's this warrior dude, though? What's his story? From the first glance he kinda reminds me of Umbra.
