Trelaine's Basement.

Trelain's Basement is just a large storage room for keeping the large bulk of items I've collected while playing the game. It also has a small bedroom for storing personal items as well as a relatively safe spot to rest (not counting Dark Brotherhood Assasins). It's a relatively simple design and not very fancy at all. I wanted something without a lot of "architecture" and very practical for myself. It has dozens of large and small chests labeled alphabetically to have some degree of organization. There are a number shelves I use for storing special armor and other items such as books and scrolls.
NOTE: As of 11/10/2023 see "Known Issues" and "Change Log" below for updated information.
Usage:
Add to data files directory. Make sure to "check" or include "Trelains_Basement.esp" in the Data Files section on the start-up menu.
The directory is usually "C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Morrowind\data".
For Steam the directory is usually "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Morrowind\Data Files".
In any case it's the same directory "Morrowind.bsa" is located.
Location in Morrowind:
The entrance to the basement is below the silt strider's platform INSIDE Balmora. There is an alternate trapdoor entrance just OUTSIDE the Balmora wall in an alcove below the silt strider.
The Ring:
The Basement Ring is located in a small chest on the main table. You may use it to teleport to the basement anytime. From inventory drop the ring on your avatar and exit inventory to activate the Ring menu. Menu commands are:
Cancel:
Exit the Ring menu and do nothing.
Mark and Basement:
Mark your current location (casts "mark" spell) and return to the basement.
Mark Only:
Mark your current location (casts "mark" spell) and do nothing else.
Basement Only:
Return to the basement without marking current location.
Recall:
Recall your last "marked" location ("mark" having been previously cast either with ring or other mark spell).
Add Enchantment:
Add constant-effect spells "Jump 15pts" and "Slow Fall 15pts".
NOTE: Once selected return to your inventory and "wear" the ring for then enchantment to take effect.
Remove Enchantment:
Removes the aforementioned enchantment from the ring and your player.
NOTE: using the "mark" feature will replace any other location you currently have marked.

Known Issues:
-------------------
None have been noticed so far. Email any issues you may encounter that are directly related to this mod.
Version 2 has not been thoroughly tested. The following issues should be considered:
> The version 2 update required the Tribunal add-on/DLC.
> Using the "Great Bazaar" teleport prior to speaking with Apelles Matius & Asciene Rane to gain access to Mournhold may affect the Dark Brotherhood quest. This has not been tested.
> It may be advised to save your game prior to upgrading to Version 2 of this mod. If there are issues with items disappearing or moving to other containers then you should probably restore the old version of this mod, reload your saved game and remove all items from the basement before upgrading.
